Berks County Rugby is proud to recognize Matt Lis and Kaiden Boyer on their invitations to the USA Rugby Men’s U18 Winter Camp, held in Charlotte, North Carolina from December 27 through January 1. With these selections, they become the third and fourth players in club history to be invited to this prestigious national camp.

Both players have demonstrated consistent character, work ethic, and performance throughout their time with the club, earning the opportunity to compete for selection to the USA U18 National Team for the 2026 summer tour.

Unfortunately, due to injury, Kaiden will be unable to attend this winter camp. However, receiving invitations to both the USA 7s and USA 15s camps is an outstanding achievement, and he remains determined to continue working for his chance next year.

Very well deserved — their commitment on and off the field continues to pay off.

Congratulations Kaiden!

We are incredibly proud of Kaiden Boyer, a junior at Berks County Rugby, who has been invited to the USA Rugby U18 Sevens Camp this October at the Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. 🇺🇸

This camp is a key part of the USA Rugby Pathways program, where the nation’s top young athletes receive high-level training, competitive play, and evaluation from national team coaches. It’s a major step toward future opportunities with USA Rugby National Teams in both 7s and 15s.

Kaiden will be trying out for the USA U18 Sevens Team, which will represent the United States at the prestigious Global Youth Sevens Tournament in Auckland, New Zealand this December.

Kaiden becomes the third Berks County Rugby player to receive this honor:
• Diohnny Ruiz was selected (though his tour was unfortunately cancelled)
• Matt Cleland was selected and traveled to the tournament
• Now, Kaiden Boyer carries on the tradition

The Global Youth Sevens is one of the world’s premier U18 competitions, featuring elite teams from across the globe in a showcase of speed, skill, and athleticism. It’s the perfect stage for rising stars to shine in front of international scouts and coaches.

We couldn’t be prouder of Kaiden for earning this incredible opportunity, and we wish him the best as he takes the field to represent Berks County, Pennsylvania, and the USA! 🇺🇸
