What a year! Life update. New clinic space. Found out I was pregnant ☺️. Travelled to England and Ireland. Grew a baby. Completed a Masters in Clinical Science, Advanced Health Care Practice in Sport and Exercise Medicine and earned my Diploma in Sport Physiotherapy. Worked with the @guelphunion Made new friends. Weddings. Met our baby girl ❤️

Protect your knees! When we think of knee injuries, traumatic injuries often come to mind (think ACL and meniscal tears). But the majority of knee pain is often associated with daily activities as simple as walking, bending, prolonged standing, and repetitive lifting. If you’re an athlete that jumps and pivots, similar to the daily activities, your knee pain is often associated with overuse. One driver of knee pain is the hip. Three factors from the hip that can contribute to knee pain are: 1️⃣ Decreased range of movement in multiple planes e.g. “tight hips”. 2️⃣ Decreased strength specific to your core, pelvis, and hips. 3️⃣ Decreased control and stability. Meet Kaila Lunny (@kaila.physio), our Lead Physical Therapist for Myodetox Yorkville. Kaila has been a physical therapist since 2014, and has since pursued further education in clinical pilates, pelvic health, advanced orthopaedics, and sports medicine. She is currently working to complete her Masters of Clinical Science in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Western Ontario. She will be certified to deliver advanced care in sport and exercise medicine. As a Lead Therapist for Myodetox Yorkville, Kaila facilitates mentorship and learning opportunities for all our clinicians, and is the living embodiment of one of our core values: never stop learning. Myodetox encourages and supports all of our health care professionals to pursue further education. Moreover, we facilitate regular clinical rounds and in-house courses for continuing education. 💜 Myodetox Yorkville Social! Finally got the chance to get the whole crew (mostly) together for a fun night last night! COVID really put a damper on team events, and although we still had to make some adjustments last night, it was so so nice to have everyone together! We ate delicious food, learned how we can help each other as therapists/colleagues, and shared MANY laughs 😂 Already looking forward to the next one 🙌

Myodetox Toronto Team Social!!! . It's been almost 2 years since we were able to get together as a region 😭. My favourite thing about working with @myodetox is the team, so yesterday was so special 💜💙. It felt sooooo good to FINALLY be able to get together as a team! . We had the BEST day! Shoutout to @grandmalovesyoutoronto for keeping us fed! @michelobultracanada @cottagesprings @acehill for quenching our thirst. Mother Nature for blessing us with the first sunny weekend of summer ☀️. And a HUGE shoutout to @jonrehab for putting this day together! It was perfect! He even surprised us with an ice cream truck🍦🍨! . My heart is so full! . Oh, and Myo CityPlace were the reigning Champs for the sack race and spike ball tourney 😏🏆🙌🏼 . @lifeatmyo
