my fav lil girl in the world is 8 today!
what can i say about the love i have for Echo Loren?!
She is simply the best man! from the day she was born, she has been a light that shines so bright! she is this perfect blend of sweet, tender-hearted, and caring mixed with goofy, spunky, and silly! whether she’s dancing, singing her heart out, playing tennis, cheering on her bros, or just playing with her pals… the thing you can be sure of is that she will be smiling and making all of us smile!! there is really nothing i love more than hanging with my baby girl! i love you echo and i love being your dad!! keep letting that incredible spirit shine! you make this world a better place to be in!

my best friend and fav human on the planet is 36 years young today! 36 years ago in a hospital room in Ogden, Utah, this entire world became a better, brighter, more beautiful place to be in because Rara was born! And let’s just be real, she been shinin’ ever since.

you just can’t teach her kind of sauce in a cookbook man, she really is just so special! she’s the gal of my dreams, the most dedicated and incredible mom, creative and talented in ways i can’t even explain, and fearless in the pursuit of her aspirations and hopes she has! she is out here livin’ every single day, and what a joy and privilege it is to be part of it!
it’s crazy that probably about a hundred times a day, I catch her doing something small:

staring at our kids, lost in thought, smiling in that soft way only she can, humming while she eats, spotting echo’s back handspring, giving me that trying to act mad but isn’t really that mad so she’s holding back her smile look when i return from golf, pronouncing the word “warm” incredibly incorrectly, and laughing a laugh that sends my heart straight to heaven…
i catch her doing these things
and I think…
This. This is it. This is the best part of my life.
She is the best part.
And always will be.

Happy bday darlin’
may God continue to smile down through you.
36 is gonna be fantastic.

I love you.
