Flor en el Desierto 🌷 in collaboration with @steinlausky . Esta es una de esas canciones que se manifiestan en los sueños durante la noche. Nace y se comparte desde un profundo sentimiento de sanación. A Steinlausky le llegó esta melodía y esta letra, que fueron transformándose a través de esta colaboración con Amaru. 🎶 “Palo santo quema, medicina cura.”

This is one of those songs that manifest in dreams during the night. Born and shared from a deep feeling of healing, the melody and lyrics came to Steinlausky and continued to evolve through this collaboration with Amaru.

‘Flor en el Desierto’ forma parte de Golden Roots, el último álbum de Amaru Tribe. Escúchala ahora! 🌷 Flor en el Desierto is part of Golden Roots, the latest album by Amaru Tribe. Listen now!

CHAPTER 7 — STEPPING UP 🎤

Starting Oz Locos was one thing. Turning it into something real was another.

Long train rides to collect beats. Finding producers. Writing and recording our five-track EP. Bringing in singers, a DJ, dancers and a choreographer. Burning CDs, assembling them by hand and taking them directly to DJs and promoters.

There was no social media. No streaming. Just belief, teamwork and hustle.

Everything we built throughout 2004 led to one unforgettable night: the official Oz Locos launch at the Bondi Hotel.

And the red shirt I’m wearing? It’s one of the original Oz Locos shirts we printed for that launch.

This was the moment I stepped up—and Oz Locos stepped out. 🔥

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make Colombia Rising possible — a fundraising event supporting our Colombian community affected by the earthquake.

Mi corazón está llenito. ❤️‍🔥🙏🏻Gracias, Melbourne!

To every artist, volunteer, MC, stallholder, musician, supporter, and everyone who showed up, donated, participated and shared their love — thank you from the bottom of my heart.

A special thank you to our production team, who were there from setup to closing, making it all happen behind the scenes. 🫶🏻

In the next couple of days, we’ll share the exact amount raised through tickets, food, emprendimientos, coffee, raffles and auctions.
Thank you for coming together, standing in solidarity and helping us make a real impact for our brothers and sisters in Colombia.

Special thanks to @andina.ent , @horizonspwc , all the incredible artists, and @cityofyarra for trusting, supporting and believing in this vision.

This was truly a collective effort.
Colombia Rising happened because we did it together.

Familia! 🥹 Last Saturday was incredible. Thank you to every single one of you who came to celebrate the launch of Golden Roots with us. Thank you for showing up with such beautiful energy and being fully present in the moment.

Together, we celebrated new music, 10 years of Amaru Tribe building community, growing, evolving, and treasuring our connection with all of you. We also celebrated the arrival of Kati and Oscar’s little one, and we truly felt the love in the room.❤️‍🔥

A huge thank you to all the special guests who shared the stage with us: Ausecuma Beats, Paul George, Future Roots, Soa Gabi, and Santiago Rojas. You helped create a magical night that everyone enjoyed and will remember.

SPECIAL THANKS to @thenightcat_fitzroy for being one of Melbourne’s greatest supporters of live music, to @jdcreativesoundz for the exceptional work with the sound production, @neishaclothing for making us look 🔥 and to our friends and family for helping make this event possible. We love you all!

Remember, this Sunday is our final Melbourne show for the year at Colombia Rising, a community-led benefit event supporting the people and communities affected by the devastating earthquake that struck Colombia on 10 August 2026. We’ll be playing at 6:00 PM. Come join us and be part of something special.

¡Salud! ❤️🌱Gracias! Los amamos.

What a beautiful week surrounded by music, art, culture and most importantly is the people.

From reconnecting with old friends to meeting new faces and bringing @movimiento.community to life, I was reminded that arts & culture are more than just entertainment. They’re how we express who we are, where we come from, and how we connect with each other.

Culture isn’t something that belongs in the past. It evolves through the people creating it, sharing it and moving it forward.

Melbourne, I had a blast as always, I will be back sooner than later.

CULTURE. COMMUNITY. MOTION.
