Things I would tell my 25 year old self… 🤍 tbt 2016

These girls - we live across Canada - representing BC, Alberta, Sask and Ontario. Each of these women are whole heartedly serving in the ministries God has placed them in.   It’s actually how we all came to meet - feeling a similar nudge into ministry but needing a community of friends who we can run with.

It all started with a zoom call - most of us were barely starting out, with dreams still in our hearts, trying to discern what path God wanted us to take in ministry.   For over 7 years we have met up online every 4 months or so - to pray, encourage and cheer each other on.

We have all lived a lot of life in the last 7 years. What started as ministry encouragement turned into real life friends who share each others burdens.

We’ve seen new ministries grow and we’ve seen some fall away. We’ve seen big moves in jobs and churches and cities. We’ve seen other win and we’ve seen each other struggle. We’ve seen our families grow with new life - and we’ve seen loss.  These girls flew across the country to be at Bronson’s funeral. They showed up, not to be spectators but on-mission. It was pretty spectacular to see them at work and I cant wait to share all about that in Part 2 of my story of Bronson’s final days. (I hope to share it Friday)

What I would do without these girls, I do not know! But one thing for sure, is we had amazing weekend together in BC - the ONLY time all 5 of us have been together at the same time in the whole 7 years of zoom calls.   If you’re looking for friends like this - take the initiative. Look for others who are running their race along side you. Make a plan, meet up, ask intentional questions, and pray together. I promise, you’ll find your crew too.

What a week. 🌊✈️🙏

I’ve been reflecting on this past week of travelling, speaking, and experiencing God in such a beautiful place.

It truly was an adventure—planes, ferries, and water taxis—all to arrive at a remote island off BC’s Sunshine Coast. Malibu Island is breathtaking. Nestled between mountains and ocean, it felt a little like a Tom Sawyer adventure island!

We gathered at Malibu Club with an incredible group of women of all ages from Canada and the U.S.—women who came with open hearts, ready to hear from God and from one another.

There were incredible meals, lots of laughter and conversation, quiet moments of reflection and prayer, and so much fun. And yes… paddleboarding in the Pacific Ocean was definitely a highlight! 🌊

So grateful for the leadership of Jaclyn Weidner, who created space for us to slow down and listen. Shylo Sharity beautifully led us in worship as we lifted our hearts to the One who loves us and leads us. Thank you, Jesus. 🙏

I had the privilege of teaching about our true identity and purpose FOUND in Christ, and Kaitlyn Cey led us through interactive experiences that helped us learn to listen to God in fresh ways.

What a refreshing and life-giving few days. ❤️

And now… I’m especially excited because next month Jaclyn comes my way!

Together, we’ll be hosting our first CREATING SPACE RETREAT in beautiful Muskoka. 🍂

After experiencing again what can happen when women intentionally step away from the noise and make room to hear from God, I’m even more expectant for what He will do.

I can’t wait to CREATE SPACE for more women to encounter God, hear His voice, and experience Him in a fresh way. 🙏✨

I’m excited to be headed west for the Women’s Retreat hosted by the incredible @jaclyn.weidner

I’ll be leading sessions on “Hearing God’s Voice” and “Life Reboot: Reset, Refocus & Renew.” (My Coaching heart is especially excited about this one!)

As I’ve been preparing, I’ve been reminded of how important it is to create space and margin to connect with Jesus. Our world is noisy. God’s voice is often subtle. I’m asking the Lord to increase my awareness of his voice and presence! I pray he would do the same for you in this season 🙏

I’ll also be learning from so many incredible women from across Canada! 🇨🇦 So grateful for the enormous army of believers linking arms in our Nation in so many ways.

PS - anyone else have a chronic overpacking issue?

We finished a 10km this morning! As I ran, I passed several benches - and as I noticed each one I heard God whisper, “I’ll be here when you’re done… come rest.”

He is in the running - the energy of our dreams, goals and actions that reflect God’s light and love in our world. And, he’s in the resting and renewal we all need when we’ve been running for a while.

He’s in it all.

As I ran today, I was thanking Jesus for the gift of movement, the beauty of this city in September 🍂
and the community that came together to support #heartbeatrun2026 ❤️

Free spirit 🤍

This is my sweet nephew sprinting with the birds. This kid has no inhibitions. As I watched him run with his eye on the sky, I was struck by his childlike freedom and joy. I felt God inviting me to look up, to see the one who frees me too.

“Where the spirit of the Lord is,
there is freedom.” - 2 Cor 2:17 ✞

“Who the Son sets free
Is free indeed.” - John 8:36 ✞

“Restore to me
the joy of your salvation.” - Psalm 51:12 ✞

May your joy be renewed as you rest in your freedom today. Jesus paid it all. The Gospel is true. It is finished. We can rest in this reality 🤍
