The 2026 Indy NXT championship comes down to Laguna Seca this weekend, two races back to back. At stake: $850,000 in scholarship money and a shot at an NTT IndyCar seat.
Nikita Johnson leads by 3 over rookie Enzo, with Tymek Kucharczyk starting race 2 from pole, 29 back and chasing history as the first Polish driver in Indy NXT.
Race 1 eliminates at least 3 drivers. Race 2 decides it all.

Alex Palou’s car this weekend at Laguna Seca is carrying history in the form of Chip Ganasi Racing’s legendary Target livery, the lightning bolt behind Vasser’s ‘96 title and Zanardi’s back-to-back championships in ‘97 and ‘98.
And this weekend, the Corkscrew officially becomes “Zanardi Corner”, the same corner where he pulled off that pass on Bryan Herta in ‘96.
Palou, fresh off title #5, carries the bolt into the finale. Same weekend the corner gets Zanardi’s name for good. #RACER
