Last weekend was a postcard perfect day in Athens , starting with brunch with our daughter and her friends, shopping, strolling all around campus, and then great tailgating before the game.

The actual football game, not so much fun on the scoreboard, but we sat with wonderful fellow Dawg supporters and ended the day nicely with good friends and a proper postgame send off.

These collegians have no idea how much it means when they come home for a visit. ❤️🖤❤️🖤

Watched her Dawgs eke out a win over Bama, then binge-watched the whole season of CARRIE together.

Happy to see for ourselves that our Damn Good Dawg is thriving over in Athens.

Last week we spent our empty nesting weekend checking on our favorite pretty young woman in Athens.

Today we are traveling to check in on our favorite handsome young man in Chapel Hill.

Excited to be going back home to the Southern Part of Heaven.

But, if I’m being honest, a little disappointed that my role as Chair of Carolina Alumni does NOT include getting the opportunity to introduce DJ Diesel on stage tomorrow morning at the pep rally. You SURE you checked with everyone about this simple little request, Veronica—I fear Shaq is gonna be sad if I’m not there welcoming him!🤣

Brunch with our favorite Dawg, tailgating with good friends, enjoying game day seats from a Major mentor of mine, coupled with a Georgia win.

Hard to have a better inaugural game day experience as proud Parents.
