today marks 4 years of death losing its grip on me!!!

Today is a stone of remembrance—a reminder of God raising my life from the ashes. It’s a reminder of His undeserved mercy and grace on me.

This past year brought testing, questions, doubts, and fears coming true. The valleys of year four were some of the lowest I’ve ever walked through. But hear me when I say: I have never been more convinced that nothing can separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus my Lord.

I once heard someone say, “Any valley you experience with God is better than any mountaintop moment you experience without Him.” I can wholeheartedly attest to this.

Over the past few months, I’ve been clinging to 2 Corinthians 12:7–10: “So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh… But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me… For when I am weak, then I am strong.” His grace is sufficient!

But oh, there has been so much joy this year too! Best friends got married, I had the privilege of attending the @watermarkinstitute , I saw God’s creativity all over creation and in His people, I started a full-time ministry job (a younger version of me would be shocked by this!), moved in with some of my favorite people, and experienced the deep security and intimacy that comes from being united with Christ.

If you skipped to the end, there is really only one thing I want you to remember :
Jesus Christ—fully man and fully God, completely without sin—was sacrificed on your behalf so that you could have a relationship with a perfect and holy God.
There is nothing you can do to earn this salvation; it is a freely given gift. Turn from yourself, your striving, and your sin, and trust in Jesus as the Lord of your life. His sacrifice is sufficient—and this truth changes everything.

Well IG did me dirty and didn’t post my very last two scheduled posts for the fall season and I just realized it. 🤦🏼‍♀️

So without further ado I get to post the little brother of one of my sweet past seniors! We had an absolute blast with him and his sister and mom on session day and it was so nice to see this family again. I’m always so honored to photograph the younger siblings of past families. 🥹🥹♥️♥️
