Okay, but seriously. Why is there no Maggi cube label?
They have labels for just about every herb, spice, seasoning, and international ingredient you can think of. but NO MAGGI?😩

Like, how did we forget one of the staples?
At this point, I’ll even take a “Chicken Bouillon Cube” label, but how can you have hundreds of pantry labels and leave out Maggi seasoning cubes?

As Liberia celebrates 179 years of independence the oldest republic in Africa we also pause to remember one of the most defining chapters in our nation’s history.

On April 12, 1980, a military coup changed Liberia forever. Just ten days later, 13 senior government officials were publicly executed, including Richard A. Henries, former Speaker of the House of Representatives.

With each passing year, more of the people who witnessed these historic events are no longer with us. Their firsthand accounts are fading, making it more important than ever to preserve the voices of those who remain.

One of those voices is my aunt, Rebecca Teewia, whose husband, John Teewia, was part of this pivotal moment in Liberia’s history. In this interview, she shares her personal memories of that time and offers a rare glimpse into what it was like to be a woman driving in Liberia during the 1970s.

These are more than stories they are living history.

Please take a moment to listen, learn, and help preserve these memories so that future generations will never forget Liberia’s journey.#liberianinstagram #liberiannews #liberianindependence #liberianindependencecelebraties #liberianfamily❤️
