When bikepacking in Morocco, I crossed the High Atlas and the Marrakesh-Safi region, which was hit by a heavy earthquake last September. People there are still suffering from the consequences.
In the small village of Ijoukak where I was invited to stay for a few days, I did some research on charity organisations which support the region. Caritas International is one of them. We got in contact and they set up a website (link in bio) to donate directly to the projects in the region. Following initial basic aid, they are now providing support with the construction of containerised settlements, sanitary facilities and the repair of irrigation channels, among other things.
