Orrrr some days my brain is completely quiet and showing up on my mat was exactly what I needed. It’s funny, how we can look at Yin Yoga practice or even this idea of mediation as a need to sit still. To not think. But I think we can completely miss the point of what being present actually means. In a world where we’re constantly going, going, going we often don’t give ourselves time to really sit in the realm of what we actually need or what we actually need to focus on. So, if your mind races during Yoga, that’s okay too. Let it flow, this is probably where you hear your teacher say “meet yourself exactly where you’re at.” Just means take the time to check in with yourself. If your minds chatty, listen to thoughts. If the bodies still, listen to the breath. #yogapractice #yinyoga #womenenterpreneur #womeninspiringwomen #mindsetiskey

This week’s inspiration: Matangi Mudra 🤌 I had the pleasure of meeting Sarah @lotusmama8 in Morocco, who reminded me of Matangi Mudra. Simply put it’s a beautiful mudra for inner harmony and transformation. Back in Scotland and into Vata season we go 🌚 The darker, cooler months are here, bringing the qualities of Vata: movement, change and transition. A natural time to explore the theme of transformation ✨ This week we’ll weave Matangi Mudra into classes, exploring how we can meet change with curiosity and openness. A little inspiration from a special meeting, carried home with me. See you on the mat 🤍 This weeks classes @highlandyogacollective 👇 Monday 6:15pm: Yoga for refugees 🌙 7:30pm: Unwind & Restore 🌙 Wednesday 7am: Morning Flow 🔥 6pm: Hot Vinyasa Flow 🔥(room heated to 28 degrees) #yoganairn #restorativeyoga #vinyasayoga #hotyoga
