ದಸರಾ ಹಬ್ಬ ❤️🧿

This has been so much more than a festival for me. It’s an emotion so overwhelming that I still struggle to find the words to describe it.

15 years ago, when I started this tradition at @kalasthreebytejaswini, little did I know that this day would one day become a way of measuring my milestones in life.

From the moment the month of Dasara begins, my mind is constantly working towards that one day. Making sure everything falls into place, every little detail is taken care of, and that I don’t fall short of giving anyone anything less than my best.

Over the years, I’ve learnt the joy of giving, and honestly, there’s no feeling quite like it.

The cleaning, buying fruits and flowers, organising, decorating, and annoying my staff more than a few times along the way — only to be met with their wholesome smiles and endless patience. Every little part of this process means so much to me.

And perhaps, a big part of why it means so much lies in a memory that has stayed with me all these years.

When we were kids, I watched my granddad celebrate Dasara with all his employees. I remember observing him so keenly — the way he smiled, the way he carried himself, his ethics, and the care with which he made sure everything was done right. Back then, I was just a little girl watching him. I didn’t realise that, years later, I would find myself holding on to the very tradition I once watched him create.

I truly hope he’s watching me from above, and that somewhere, he’s proud of me. ❤️

15 years of this tradition. 15 years of giving. 15 years of carrying a little piece of him with me.

15 years has to count for something, right? ❤️

And this year, a little more special than the rest — our very first Dasara at the new place. A new space, another milestone, and the same tradition that continues to hold my heart.

Today, I went to Kalasthree Boutique to give my Diwali outfit for stitching, but I came back with something more beautiful than an outfit — so much love! ❤️✨
