One last national title to end my collegiate running journey. I leave this program having achieved:
-7 time All American
-8 time team national champion
-12 time team conference champion
-1 time conference champion
But as time passes I won't look back on my time and think about the times or performances I achieved, I will look back on the people I did it with. The locker room chats, the mid run conversations, the late night youtube scrolling sessions and countless other little moments that made my time at UWL truly special.

While my running journey is not over I can say with full confidence that nothing I do on the track in the future will be able to match the memories I made here with some of the closest friends and toughest competitors I have in this life.

Most of the ones who brought life to my place at uwl have had to hang up their spikes and enter the real world... leaving behind a program and a legacy to be remembered. Now, the duty of us who continue isn't to create the same outcomes, or produce similar realities to what we've earned before; it is to achieve our own excellence, as champions, as eagles, and to do it as a family.

I could not be more honored. Honored to be apart of a national championship. Honored to have taken 4th place in hammer and throw over 60m. Honored to have graduated. Honored to have grown as a person over the last few years of my life. Honored to have the friends and family I have grown with. Finally, honored to call myself an Eagle.

A large chapter of my book of life is finally finished. It’s crazy to think how much time and devotion has gone into everything that only just finished up in the last two weeks. Both school and sport -done. Thinking back, I can’t say I didn’t love every second of work.

I will never forget my time at UWL. Surrounded by people who all share the same goals and ideologies. I can’t wait to look back at my time and reflect in the near future, but for now I must start the next chapter.

Came to UWL hoping to get faster, left as a 10x All-American and 8x team champion. Finishing my career with a win at home was the perfect ending to what has been the best 4 years of my life. Thank you to my teammates, coaches, and family for their support.
