🐣🥍 ROUND 1 STATE LEAGUE DEBUTS!

Sturt Lacrosse club had 11 playing debutants on the weekend competing in State League, 8 for our women and 3 for our men!

Special mention goes to our 🇺🇸 US import Ethan Lyles from @flaglercollege in St. Augustine, Florida, who stepped off the plane and on to the field to play! 👀💪
💙🩵SLC welcomes you with open arms! 🩵💙

Another special mention to the women’s side, congratulations on competing in Sturt’s first State League team in 6 years. You played tenaciously, respectfully and even managed to score a BTB! 😜
Looking at you 🥍👸 @davina_rowlands

❤️💛💙 3/3 National Champs ain’t bad! 😉 🏆🏆🏆

A CLEAN SWEEP 🧹 for all 3 of our South Australian teams competing in the U18s State National Championships.

Congratulations to Kaleb Tuxford, our face-off guru and Sonny Kernaghan, the Houdini attacker, for their win in DOUBLE OT against Victoria! An intense game and incredible effort from the boys. Cindy Tuxford was the U18 Boys Team Manager, supporting them to victory and Our man, Peter Greenhalgh, was in the commentary box calling the shots of this incredible game!

Huge shout out to Ava Gibson (MVP winner against Waikato), Hannah Greenhalgh and Co-Coach Charlotte Whinnen for winning the Division 1 U18 Girls Championship. Throughout the tournament the girls were resilient and lethal, they even managed to get a Sturt Assist to a Sturt Goal!

Lylah-Jean Rennie was victorious in the Division 2 U18 Girls and did not disappoint with many turnovers and hustle at the defensive end.

Not only did all three of our junior girls win 🏆 they were also named in the All Stars Team for their division!
A huge achievement that would not have been possible without their coaches, which included our State League Women’s coach, Charlotte Whinnen. Charlotte led the girls with consistent values and positive reenforcement that helped players dig in and stay focused.

Tenacious. Respect. Fun. Limitless.

Congratulations once again to this group, a win well deserved!!! 🩵💙🩵💙
