And there's still more work to be done when the universe gives me some more free time. I'll make doors for the lower wall cabinets and build out the open space to the left of the floating shelves.

All the work I've been doing since buying our home I've just learned along the way. I've made mistakes here and there, as well as had an occasional trip to the emergency room (I'll have to share that one later). But fortunately my wife, Kristal, has never stopped encouraging me and has always had faith that I'll be able to figure it out.

This cocktail I made up during Covid, which is when I took a deep-dive into everything tiki and never looked back. The first iteration of it was delivered to our friends in Brooklyn, outdoors and fully masked, and was thus named "A Hug From Afar".

Three sleepless days and two U-Haul rentals later, I'm finally laying in bed and thinking about this new chapter we are starting. Both exhausted as hell, this weekend was not always all smiles but I am grateful and continually impressed by @kalex____ 's strength and determination to do what we have to do. 🪨
