So honored to have styled the most talented @kaley_were for her incredible musical performance! 🎶✨ Watching the final look come to life and then seeing her absolutely shine on stage was such a special moment. 🤎

🌻when @devanmarie828 asked me to go to her friend’s one-woman-show on one of my only days off, I hesitated. should I just stay home and sleep? but I decided that if this person is Devan’s friend, she’s probably talented, and even if she isn’t, I’ll get to hang out with Devan (who I haven’t seen in forever) anyway. so I decided to go.

enter one of the best performers I’ve seen in a while. so beautiful, so confident, and great vocal range.

but it wasn’t just her performance that captivated me. it felt like she was talking to my soul. I had tears in my eyes FOUR TIMES because her message felt directed straight at me.

“It’s ok if you don’t know what you’re doing. It’s ok if you’ve stumbled and had to change direction. It’s ok if life has made you adjust and you’re on a different path than when you started. None of this makes you less of an actor or less of a performer. Everyone is on their own journey.”

these were all words I desperately needed to hear. @kaley_were we’ve never officially met (except for a brief hi after the show), but please know that your message touched my heart and mind in a way that I wish I could express. thank you for your beautiful performance, and for sharing your beautiful light with us. ❤️

sometimes I feel like I’ve lost my way, and sometimes I feel like I will never find it again. but today, fate put me where I was meant to be. the world of performing always comes back to me somehow; today felt like a tiny nudge saying, “See, I’m still here. I’m just waiting for the moment when I can embrace you with open arms again.” ✨✨

Recently @carbarmo said to me that we have to stop waiting until we “make it” in theatre to be proud of ourselves and it really changed my brain chemistry 👀 We all contain multitudes and I can tell you from recent experience that life is SO much better when you embrace it all.
