Scroll down if you want to, but my sense of decency, however twisted and misguided, will keep compelling me to post this. These poor puffballs haven’t wronged a single living soul in this world. They are innocent, most of them still very young, with eventful and joyful lives potentially lying ahead of them. Yet, they’ve been handed a death sentence. It’s just that some moral cripples dumped them like garbage, and other moral cripples reported them—no, not to a rescue shelter of which there are plenty, but—to a K-9 extermination facility in Ufa, Russia. Under the new regulations, I’m told, they’ll never be released unless to a foster home. Moreover, they’re going to be euthanized in the most inhumane manner conceivable. Time is running out treacherously on them.

If you’re reading this from Russia or you know someone from Russia, please share this message and ask them to share it as well. It won’t cost you a spare blink. If they can help financially or find a foster home for these fellows, they’re welcome. I believe every cent—or kopeck, for that matter—counts. Don’t let them die in agony without ever exploring this world. Just share the message and/or the link to the page of the folks @animal_4_4 that are busting their chops in a bid to help them out.

You know, lately, I’ve been seeing a barrage of social media posts whose tone is indicative of the authors being saints demanding that their rights, freedoms, and interests be observed by their respective governments. Good point, but I humbly think you can only wish for the authorities to treat you in ways you deem fair if you exhibit fairness and compassion toward the powerless ones who are dependent on you and your judgment. We can’t be exigent of something we ourselves consistently fail to live up to. Be a fair judge, speak up (or just share the goddamn message) for those who have no voice. Thanks.

Please spread the information. True, we can't help everyone, but even if we help one of these innocent souls, it's a big deal. We've all condemned the unspeakable evil of Nazism, and yet, as the famous death camp survivor said, if animals had a religion, we'd be the devil in it. My heart sinks when I imagine a blind dog that's been dumped by some scumbags getting killed. Some of them are facing death row. Most live in shelters fueled by human enthusiasm and amazingly kind and selfless volunteers. Adopt or foster if you can or spread the word to others. They deserve to live and to be loved
