CMC Wall! The FA was by Billy Davidson (third pic) and Urs Kallen in the 1970s. Ran a lap with @cedarwright in 2016 (first two pics). Here’s a review of the book I wrote on Billy in the @americanalpinejournal. What a route! #rockclimbing #tradisrad #climbing #Canada #books

"Like everything alive that we try to hold forever" brings together seven artists whose works, in a broad sense, reflect ways that our human bodies exist in relation to non-human objects and the complex, interconnected ways that these objects, through their systemic collection, consumption, and contextualization, impact our understanding of self and others.

I've climbed Yamnuska hundreds of times, many were with Urs Kallen, seen closest to you here on the summit next to @jim_elzinga. We climbed Red Shirt, Kahl Wall, Dreambed, Pony Express, Forbidden Corner and many others. Urs was the motivation for @theboldandcold and is the reason I'm writing a book about Billy Davidson (out this year). Jim and Urs go back over 50 years. There's nothing more awesome than the moments with buds in the mountains. #rockclimbing #grippedmagazine #legends

My 2020 Top Nine! Halloween, hanging outside wearing a @ponyfriday mask, all four of my favourite dogs, my sister, fresh picked wild strawberries, the launch of my first book Behave Boldly and the audiobook... and the hope of how we all wanted things to go with the cover of the 2020 @kallenprint Kallendar! What a year!

No distance associated with today’s numbers and this beyond the trail reality reminds us how thankful we were to have summer’s beautiful nature carry us away. Mindful of only observing its fleeting details, now autumn falls upon us and it is getting us to walk the business paths of #mapmaking #bespokemaps

The year different ideas come together
-
Sharing a lovely, collaborative project today! Back in December, 4 design ladies (myself included) at @zgm_marketing created this Kallendar (calendar). Each of us took our own creative spin, which resulted in 4 beautifully different seasonal interpretations for one big crazy year: 2020.

We couldn’t have imagined something like this pandemic would be happening when we created this calendar.. but it seems the concept for this piece is relevant. The amount of support, collaboration and positive messages I’ve seen and felt throughout communities lately is nothing short of wonderful. The internet is a much friendlier, supportive place. It makes me happy to see that people are (virtually) coming together through the craziness and isolation, in a time where it’s all too easy to feel alone.

Stay sunny, all! ☀️💛 January/February/March: Me (see next posts)
April/May/June: Dana @artichokiecharlie
July/August/September: Teresa @twsa
October/November/December: Jacki @jackiwan

Client: Kallen Printing, Calgary @kallenprint
