In support of Adrian and the entire Garza family, Buena Vida Cattle is offering a grade 1 sexed heifer embryo that is a full sibling to KK Swagger’s Gigi, the 2023 National Champion Star 5 Female. Bred by us and exhibited by Blaine Gibson and Crosswinds Ranch.

This mating is the product of the sire of 3 National Champions- Hefte F19 Pure Swagger, and CWR Goldie Girl who was a donated heifer from Crosswinds Ranch. This GRADE 1 SEXED HEIFER embryo will result in a ¾ Star Five female, and if she turns out anything like her sister, she will be classy and feminine, while still carrying so much dimension and mass. Gigi was moderate, big hipped, and fancy fronted, while still being functional. This heifer has the potential to compete in any showring, against all sorts of ARB crosses and still standout. Showring phenotype and donor cow potential all in one package, backed by some of the best genetics in the breed.

This is the first time any of these embryos or breeding have been let go and we’re proud to support the Garza family in any way that we can during this time. The sale ends on Tuesday, February 24th.

What a year 2025 has been. Reaching milestones I did not think were possible. From graduating with a Master’s to beginning Veterinary School. All while having the best partner one could ask for. Here’s to 2026!!

This semester brought to you by late nights, scrubs, and the constant smell of formaldehyde.🤎🩺🐶📚

South Texas Heritage Sale and Junior/Open Show Backdrop galleries are now live on my site! Ring shots are coming next—I’ll start uploading those Friday after spending time with family for the holidays. Thank you for your patience, and stay tuned for more from HOT Gert Show 2025!

I wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving! I’m so thankful for my family (wolf pack) and friends, for the privilege to be part of something larger than myself—and some days it feels larger than life—the agricultural and livestock industry! Not to mention, the opportunity to share in the HOT Gert Show experience for the second year. Nothing beats being in the middle of an arena during a cattle show—whether showing, judging, helping, or capturing those character-building moments filled with passion.
