So here is to this unrepeatable season,
to every laugh and late night spent,
to opening up and being welcomed,
to joy that came and would not relent.
To ancient bonds and present table,
to friends who made the campus home, to every moment we worshiped God together,
and every moment I felt less alone.

The journey, along with the pain and growth that comes along with it, is all experienced differently. Looking back on my journey, God has been by my side the whole time. He’s never left even when I felt as if He did. His timing didn’t seem convenient to me but my plan wasn’t always the right one. He knows me better than I know myself. He puts us through trials not to watch us fall. But to see us get back up and lean into Him. Faith isn’t easy. It isn’t fun all the time. Questions and doubts will arise. But His love has never failed me and it will continue to never fail. When I asked God for friends He didn’t hand me them right away. He knew that I if He gave them to me then I wouldn’t put my faith in Him I would put it in my friendships. Eventually after hard growth He provided. Lean into your friendships. Grow in them together. We are not meant to live this life alone. Cherish them. Don’t take them for granted. They are precious. Trust God’s journey for you. Sometimes you look at the path and only see one set of footsteps and wonder why you’re alone. You’re not alone. God just put you on His back and is carrying you through that season. Sometimes you’re just too weak to acknowledge it. You are not weak for asking God for strength.
