Gf’s first calendar year of floral business is so much wilder, more fun, and unexpected than I ever could have imagined. You think you know, and you actually have no idea…. I’ve gotten to collaborate with so many artists, and accomplished unimaginable projects with friends I’ve been able to hire (!!!) and it has challenged me beyond belief.

It is especially meaningful to have sweet @ryanrossokay to capture many of these milestones, I’m looking forward to the documentary film project he’s working on.

Realizing I’ve got a whole crew of friends and family who are up for an adventure, flyin by the seat of our pants and having fun in the chaos brings me the BIGGEST SMILE in my heart.

fell in love with the hidden gem, little big city of salt lake, in which every time i leave the house, there are my neighbors ready to offer me a hug , or some free food , or an invitation to an event usually involving words that make me lol, like “fermenting” “singing night” “morning tea” or something equally specific

began eating meat again after 10 years, thanks to my reoccurring dreams of steak and Rainey’s unbeatable cooking

made and presented 2 works alongside Mads + several other beautiful collaborators

grieved: family, loss while living, the world’s collapse

found best friendship w my housemates + our cat, Boots

wondered wtf i am doing

danced to 80s new wave

was asked by many curious strangers “who do you dance for?” my answer being no one and everyone

had a depressing and yearnful winter, longed, wrote abt it, moved on

felt the passage of time and let the tears fall

hosted many visiting friends

watched my mother + step father start their lives again in maine
felt the physical distance between us
embraced what it is like to have two parents

flew to new york twice— laughed with old friends, new faces, felt the rumbling energy in my bones

became (a new development) obsessed w my bike

felt incompetent and insecure, and a leader and a creator of all i wish for

practiced body work with many amazing friends

sat by the river
sat beside fires
sat in many bodies of water, hot n cold

spent the year stoned, am now 26 days without

integrated dance into everyday life that now it is more like breathing or walking to the kitchen

worked many hours making coffee, serving eggs, speaking with strangers who give me energy and lessons everyday, loving on my beautiful co-workers who are in similar stages of life

watched my friends fall in and out of love
tattooed my hand

practiced speaking honest, clear

watched live art

gave dance class for my peers

watched conflict wash over, let me see deeper, and open up channels of love and trust with those who are worth it

performed in shows that let me bare my soul

spent christmas with kam and her family

made fast friends in cali

turned 24

Doing my favorite thing with my favorite people in my favorite place.

I can’t wait for Saturday nights full moon sound bath, surrounded by blooming flowers and golden pink skies. I still have spots available, if you are feeling called I’d love to have you join me. I know many people have never experienced a sound bath and get a little intimidated but this would be a great one to dip your toes. Not only is it a sound bath but we are also picking our own flower bouquets. If you have any questions about the event or sound baths in general send me a message. 🤍
