Matches expose your weaknesses. Practice fixes them.

Practice is where you push until things break. Find the failure. Understand it. Fix it. Then push until it breaks again.

Getting it right at 50% doesn’t mean shit if you can’t execute it at 80 mph.

Push until the wheels fall off.

Fix the wheels.

Then push harder.

Matches are the test. Training is where you earn the result.

from today’s @theuspsa match at @arrowconcepts_trainingcenter

The rest of the match… Mike? Who’s that? No Shoot? Never heard of it. We don’t need to talk about that.

But this stage was a great application of what I’ve been working on lately. Lots of wide transitions, lots of opportunities to get the eyes moving early and let the gun follow.

Eyes first. Gun second. Don’t push the gun to a target you haven’t visually arrived at yet.

Stage win in a match of follies.
