POV: leveling up your sleep brand start-up When I first started @kaomisleep, all of our photos were taken on an iphone or mocked up with AI. We made it work, but I knew it was finally time to invest in the brand. So, we did our first full-day professional photoshoot to start hanging with the big brands! Thank you @ata_girav for spending the whole day bringing @kaomisleep to life. Excited to see the results!! 👀

Growth is usually treated as something businesses should maximize. Kip Tindell thinks that can be a mistake. While building @thecontainerstore, Kip deliberately targeted roughly 20% annual growth. Growing faster might have looked better on paper, but he worried it would compromise the culture, customer experience, and operating principles that made the company successful in the first place. His philosophy is simple: figure out how quickly your company can grow without breaking what makes it special—and have the discipline to stay below that limit. Because sustainable growth isn’t about moving as fast as possible. It’s about finding a pace you can maintain for decades. Hear the full conversation on How I Built This Advice Line with @guy.raz. Thank you to the folks at @coolawand, @hazelgrovecustoms, and @kaomisleep for being a part of our show.

Still in disbelief that this is real life! We’re officially sold out of our first production run. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to seeing something that once only existed in my head become something people actually want in their homes. So, so grateful for every single person who has supported @kaomisleep. The SherpaNest™ is back on preorder now, with orders expected to ship September 30–October 10.

How I went from 0 followers to 138k followers in <1yr People ask me all the time how I grew my social media accounts so fast. TBH, I had no strategy. I just started posting every type of video I could think of. Every now and then the algorithm would pick a few and run with them. When that happened, I’d repost the same video with different text overlays and trending audio. Now we have trial reels, which is a much more efficient way to test content before committing to it. But the principle is the same: post enough, and the winners find you. Consistency beat strategy!

hi, i’m kaitlin! if you’re new here, thank you for being here. if you’ve been here since day one... wow. you’ve watched this dream grow from an idea into a real company, all in real time. i still can’t believe how much has changed in just one year. i quit my corporate job, started my mba at usc, and took a chance on building the product my teenage self always wished existed through @kaomisleep. it’s been an incredible journey so far, and i’m so grateful you’re here to be part of it. i’ll be sharing the behind-the-scenes of building a consumer brand, the highs, the lows, and everything i’m learning along the way. thanks for following along. we’re just getting started.

A reminder to get out of your comfort zone because you never know what can come from it. Trying out for the @sharktankabc casting call at USC was such an amazing experience, and I’m really proud that I put myself out there. Feeling extra thankful for the Trojan network #fighton!
