- 🦁GiffyFit Lore 📖 - Back to Silverwood Park - 🌳

Like most small businesses, you can divide Gifford Fitness history into several distinct periods: before March 2020, during the Pandemic, as well as 2021 and beyond.

With the gym space shut down, we immediately looked to our local Silverwood Park as a gathering place to workout for those who were comfortable. March and April 2020 was a scary time, and we wanted to find a way to be able to see each other in person and workout.

For months, we gathered at @silverwoodpark to workout. @coach_giffy would be there almost every day from 6 am - 11 am coaching groups of teenagers and adults before heading back to the @giffordfitness parking lot to train adults in separate parking spaces.

We got pretty tan, and very fit. Morning workouts at Silverwood brought us much needed joy, and the workouts were ridiculously awesome. Who remembers “Smokey Legs” 🤠🔥🍗😂 or the 400m Walking Lunge, or the 150 Lunge/Lunge/Squat workout? Or Murph at Silverwood in the rain?

Or, our personal favorite… the Hill ⛰️🐻😉

This Saturday we’re hosting @dragondoorpublications RKC level 2 course, so we’re headed back to the ‘Wood to go down memory lane for an awesome workout at 8 am. This will be for our Adults CrossFit and @giffyfit_teens Elite Conditioning as well as CrossFit Teens workouts - all in one.

See you at the Hill! RSVP in Push Press 🙂😁🦁🔥

Holy smokes! That was a great morning of fitness! Congrats on all the hard work, everyone! 50 back squats for time, and then 4 rounds of 400m run + 200m farmer carry = 🔥🔥🔥🤠💪👊🥓

Our next strength cycle is going to focus on Deadlifts and Bench Press! We have a great new way to track our progress, which we’ll roll out to you all soon.

Have a great weekend!
