🥉 Two days ago — third place.
5 wins. 1 loss.
And one big realization.

I fell in love with Jiu-Jitsu.If Judo is the beginning,
Jiu-Jitsu is the completion. If Judo is reactive force,
Jiu-Jitsu is calm force.
In Judo, you have to be faster, stronger, sharper.
In Jiu-Jitsu, you must learn to wait.
Patience becomes a weapon.Success in Jiu-Jitsu doesn’t come from power or speed —
it comes from strategy, timing, and attention to detail. Two days ago, I felt this truth.
I was stronger than my opponent.
Faster. More explosive. But none of it mattered. He put me in a position where my strength couldn’t save me.
My speed meant nothing.Because I rushed. I wasn’t ready. I didn’t have a clear plan.
I lost my patience —
and that’s why I lost the fight. You can be strong. You can be faster than your opponent.
But if you don’t build your fight with a plan —
if you don’t think ahead —
you will never win. I saw that clearly that day. Felt it deeply. It’s a lesson I’ll never forget.
Above all, thank you to my teammates and mentors — _ @miribyan.ruben _ Professor Ruben, _ @da_jits_ Arin, and _ @the_lex_lab _ Alex — for your guidance, your belief, and your time.
And to all my teammates — thank you for your incredible support and energy. This was my first Jiu-Jitsu competition.
And I don’t want to stop. Now I see the path clearly.
And it goes far.
I’m going to earn my black belt.
And I will.

A big moment as well—Melvin received his blue belt from Sensei Arin Adjamian! 🥋
