Do we fully understand the significance of our words when we recite our marriage vows at the altar, and the commitments we are making?

This week, we are chatting about marital vows and checking whether we are still honouring them even after 12 years of marriage.

What fruit do you think you’re called to bear in this season?

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.”

Coming up this week, we discuss the impact of a work transition and the journey of forgiveness.

Our emotions and feelings should never take precedence over God’s commandment to forgive.
Forgiveness is not instantaneous; it is a process.

Experiencing offense is an inevitable part of life, as people will always be people. We must learn to forgive, as forgiveness serves us more than it does the individual who has wronged us.

📣 WE COME BACK… lol yes, yet again!

We’ve been running, procrastinating, disobedient… but we’ve come to the end of ourselves and so here we are doing it afraid. 😮‍💨🙈🤧

On the first episode, we discuss the lessons we’ve been learning in our marriage, emphasising that it is not a walk in the park. To cultivate a thriving marriage, requires intentionality.

Marriage will mold you into the person God intends for you to be, and it often requires stepping out of your comfort zone. Be ready to put in the work, all it requires is 2 willing vessels surrendered to Abba.

Join us, journey with us. The episode goes live tomorrow at 5pm on our YT channel. 🔗 in bio.

The sanctification of marriage is incredibly hard.

Growing together isn’t always easy nor fun, the daily “dying to self” alone is inherently complex especially to us flawed selfish beings because it calls us to surrender our personal comfort, control, preferences and pride.

But I take joy in this, it has exposed the ugly parts of us that need refining and has given us the opportunity to do the deep work, to heal the parts of us that we hid well under the band aids so that we can show up better not only for ourselves but for each other. The friction is necessary for the refinement of our character, helping each other grow in holiness which ultimately will bring glory unto God is worth it.

All it takes is two imperfect yet willing, surrended vessels to wake up daily and choose to try again and again because the journey is not linear.

Teasers from our Somlandela live recording, we were charged and reminded as disciples of Jesus to go and make disciples of all nations.

We are cooking BTS and cannot wait to share the project with you once it’s ready. For now yield to the charge “Go and make disciples of all nations!”

Both Mrs Nacho and MmeNchoe showed up over the weekend. 🤭❤️😍

Attending weddings have such a beautiful way of reminding me of my “why” to the covenant I made to God and my husband. It quickly puts things into perspective and refuels the fire in me to keep striving for my marriage.
