My second week as a business owner ahh. Things I’ve learned / done:

1. Secured an interview feature with a very interesting Michelin chef - can’t wait!
2. My Sardinia feature for The Daily Mail has been filed - first national travel piece who dis
3. I still don’t understand payroll so I’m just paying someone because I’m too blessed to be stressed
4. Had a pretty killer coverage week, better than our beautiful boys (England forever)
5. Sleep is essential for peak performance and so is stroking cats
6. Work from Spain > work from sweat box London - especially when we’re in the final!
7. Although this is the longest I have ever been away from my son ❤️❤️❤️❤️
8. Sent two incredibly exciting scopes of work this week 🤞🏼
9. Landed a very fun commission and get to take my mum somewhere special to celebrate her turning 50 - yay!

What a week! My first official week is over and it has been a blast. Have loved every minute! Here’s a couple of things I’ve learnt along the way.

1. It’s so much easier to balance your mind and body when you are able to set your own schedule
2. Building a website is so much more complex than it needs to be haha seriously why!?
3. I signed two 12-month retainers this week which was a goal I’d set myself to hit in the first 6 months - that is wild 🤯 having a celebratory mojito haha
4. Having a dedicated “office” has been nice and a load off especially when it’s so central, thank you to @virginactiveuk Mayfair ❤️
5. Thank you to all my friends, family and people in industry who have been so kind and supportive - this has added to my enjoyment of the first week immensely!
6. Working freelance with some of London’s best agencies is a blast and I’m enjoying having such a large and diverse mix of clients. And they give such nice welcome presents ❤️ @crucomms & @akacomms
7. Why work from England in a heatwave when you can work from Sardinia and Spain right?
