Please help me wish my shining star a happy return day✨ there is no vibration on this earth that meets you where you’re at. you transcend earth and space and time. You are unmatched. You are resilient. You are air fire and water. The image is giving me strooong Sankofa energy. It’s a reminder to me that I have been light, I am light and even if it’s hard and challenging, I will continue being light as I l learn and unlearn.

As I walk I am strengthened and covered by the affirmation ‘I am my sun’. This is the affirmation the @frisky.ness yellow sun fabric holds as part of the I am enough / Sun Collection.

I give thanks to @karacuba for spontaneously shooting this 📸 with me and for reminding me of its existence right when I needed it.

Gratitude issa must

no matter how I look back at the year.
I ate. I drank. I slept. I had freedom to think, feel and speak.

Kwabena 🇬🇭

I met Kwabena while I was walking down Oxford Street in Ghana.

His bold style along with his height really stood out to me.

Everyday that I saw him, he expressed himself beautifully through clothing and different hairstyles.

That’s how I got to know him and began resonating with him so much.

Wassup ya’ll! 🤗

Kara here, the photographer posting on this platform 👋🏾

Just thought it would be a great day to introduce myself and spill 10 fun facts about myself on this fine Monday.

Here we goooo,

🌹I’m a part of a huge family (there’s 10 of us)

❤️ I started photography with my mom’s old Samsung flip phone when I was 13. (Wow, what a journey)

🌹Photography is a part of my everyday life. (I’m always looking for lighting, nature, objects, people that would bring my creative visions to life)

❤️ I’m a “December” Capricorn (there’s a difference) and I’m 27 years great 🥳

🌹 I’m a traveler at heart. (I thrive when I’m going from place to place)

❤️ It took me 25 years to finally love myself (flaws and all) and I’m only just beginning 😌

🌹 I’m from a super small town in southern Virginia called Gloucester.

❤️ I’m currently back and forth between Northern Virginia and Cambridge, Massachusetts shooting portraits and events. (I love it 🙃)

🌹I had locs/dreadlocks for 2 years and I loved them sooo much and I can’t wait to grow them back, much thicker this time.

❤️ My life partner took these photos of me on my #iphone12pro and he did freaking amazing 😍

Now your turn, what’s a fun fact about you?
