I’ve known @alexvolkanovski for nearly 20 years. The first time I met him was through his girlfriend @emmavolkanovski at Kara’s salon, Emma worked for Kara because Kara loved Em and Alex was away a lot training so she made up a job and Em was great at that job and great to be around. Then I sat next to Alex at a friends Wedding and he was weighing his chicken because he was in fight camp and just got home from 6 weeks in Thailand. I saw him fight for the first time in Thirroul when he KO’d a bloke asap. Then he went to the AFC and dominated it. Then dominated the UFC. He’s the ultimate professional. But most importantly, he’s a good person. If you are looking for a role model or for someone to look up to because you gotta see it to be it, look up to Alex Volkanovski. He took the long road to the top and proves everyone wrong time after time and most importantly he never lost who he was. And Em has been there every step of the way. She’s a real one and standing next to her at the premiere of street fighter the other day I had a moment. Im so proud of him and her and everything they’ve achieved. Alex in the street fighter Movie is no surprise because he’s a star. Go watch it and support him. He never stops elevating. His profile is global and he never says no to an autograph. He gives everyone his time and he treats everyone the way they deserve to be treated and he is so fucking likeable. His team is rock solid from Joe and Ash obviously, to Blakey, Frank, Jakey, Colby, filthy Phil, Bainesy, etc But the thing that sets him apart is that he thrives under pressure and elevates during adversity. To use one of my favourite quotes of all time, from anyone, “adversity is a privilege” That’s Volks quote he said to his daughters before he bashed Diego Lopes (The first time) Because the job is never finished with Alex, whether it’s the driveway he poured 20 years ago, or the photo he promised to take, the man always finishes the job. In 6 days Movsar will be standing next to Volk at the end of the fight, head bashed in, looking at Bruce Buffer raising Alex’s hand with everyone in Australia yelling the same thing. AND STILLLLLLLLLLLLL 👑

Well, here we go... HER FLOW HAUS CONTENT CREATION IS LIVE. I've managed to turn something I genuinely love into a business. I've always loved storytelling. The details, the energy, the way a photograph can make you feel something without saying a word. For me, it's never been about just taking a photo. It's about seeing something others might miss. Bringing an idea to life. Creating content that actually feels like you. So here it is. Creative direction. Styling. Photography. Storytelling. You bring the brief. I'll bring the eye. Whether you're a brand, a business or a content creator needing an extra pair of hands on a shoot, fresh content or a quick turnaround, I'd love to help bring your ideas to life. I'm officially taking bookings, with an introductory content package of $200 for launch only. Based in Cronulla, Sydney. My DMs are open. Let's create something. Not every ring needs to look the same. This beauty holds warmth and fire in equal measure. Our client decided to go with this 4-carat oval cognac fancy diamond, which we set in yellow gold with marquise diamonds scattered off-centre along the band. It's warm, unexpected and entirely hers. In 2004 @kararyan_ and I went on our first date. I put on my mad favourite shirt, had my hair cut with a cute rats tail and took her to one of the fanciest places in town, Hogs Breath Cafe in Shellharbour. Then we saved up together for 12 months and went on our first holiday to Airlie Beach. I think she paid for most of it tbh. 22 years later we jumped on a plane and took our little family back to Airlie Beach. We loved it up there together for the week, caught up with fam and topped it off with a dinner at Hogs Breath Cafe. Full circle moment. Life moves fast man and I’m trying to be in the moment more. Doing more of the stuff I love, with the people I love. Spontaneously. I also think I might be in the early stages of a mid life crisis. Either way, I’m all about it.

I have admired and looked up to a lot of people over the years, but no one measures up to my old man. He will always be my hero. *But Terry Lamb was one hell of a player

Today, the 29th of July is the biggest day of the year in the Ryan household. Two birthdays on the same day. Our little man Jesse turns 9 and Kara turns 30 or 40 something. I am so proud to be Jesse‘s Dad. He is my best mate and my little shadow. He is determined and always wants to be better. But it’s his kindness, generosity and caring nature that makes me smile every day. He will pick a flower for his Mum on the way home from school, help a random kid that fell over at flip out, then in the same afternoon only come inside from playing soccer out the back because it’s pitch black dark and we have argued for 20 minutes and dinner is ready. Both him and his sister are our proudest achievement. I’m also so proud of how much he loves his Mum. He thinks the world of her, and she thinks the world of him. Them having the same birthday didn’t happen by chance. And @kararyan_ , well we have moved her birthday to Sunday to celebrate her properly. 22 years later and she’s still a fox, but with the same bite of a Rottweiler. I love that her last name is Ryan and I love that she chose me. That’s why the 29th of July is the biggest day of the year in the Ryan household. And that makes me proud. I also love using the word proud. It’s my favourite word at the moment. And I’m proud of that.

Earlier this week we were so excited to see @therealbeauryan and @kararyan_ at Escape Bathhouse again! These guys are becoming regulars here and we couldn’t be happier being their new favourite date day spot 🩵 With beautiful interiors, a quiet space and lot’s of relaxation facilities to try, it’s easy to come over the bridge for a visit, just like Beau and Kara 🙌 #datenight #dateideas #sydneylocal #bathhouse #spaday
