POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This is actually the first piece of art that I have bought for myself from another artist. It is the first time I felt compelled to want to have my own piece because of what it means and feels. (So much that I would get a tattoo of this.)

It is an image that I have felt for so long before even seeing this, throughout my past several years studying the histories of human civilization and more recently plant evolution prior to mankind. There is a weight that burdens one when they see where we have come from and to see where we are headed. That burden becomes a responsibility and duty.

Title: Europe Ozymandias

‘Any group, any civilisation, any world that did not run to seize the future and shape it was doomed to dust away, to become the past.’

‘My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings; Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair! Nothing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away.’

Handmade screenprint fine art edition (56 x 76 cm) on hand-pressed Somerset Velvet 250gsm archival rough-edged cotton rag paper.

Many thank you @karborn for talking to me about this piece and sending this over to me from London!

A serious art practice can still be held together by screenshots, half-finished bios and files called FINAL-final-2.

That doesn’t mean the artist isn’t serious. Usually, it means nobody taught them how to build a structure around the work.

Structure isn’t there to make art predictable. It’s there so every application, exhibition invitation, press request or sale doesn’t become an emergency.

The work can remain intuitive. The way you document, present and carry it forward doesn’t have to be.

What takes the most energy from you: your statement, portfolio, documentation, admin or visibility?

We created the free Artleove Artist Playbook: Becoming Visible for artists whose work is ready, but whose professional structure is still catching up.

Comment PLAYBOOK and we’ll send you the link.

In that great journey of the stars through space
About the mighty, all-directing Sun,
The pallid, faithful Moon, has been the one
Companion of the Earth. Her tender face,
Pale with the swift, keen purpose of that race,
Which at Time’s natal hour was first begun,
Shines ever on her lover as they run
And lights his orbit with her silvery smile.

Sometimes such passionate love doth in her rise,
Down from her beaten path she softly slips,
And with her mantle veils the Sun’s bold eyes,
Then in the gloaming finds her lover’s lips.
While far and near the men our world call wise
See only that the Sun is in eclipse."

Ella Wheeler Wilcox, 'A Solar Eclipse'

(For those of you who can watch it, I don't have any glasses 😭)

The first single from my next EP “Survival Loop” on @1985music drops this Thursday along with pre orders for the limited tee.

This is probably my proudest work so far and I can’t wait for you all to hear it. Big ups to @alixperez1985 for his continued belief and @karborn for working with us again on this drop.

“If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be.”
– Maya Angelou
Retrospection is so important
Look back at your thoughts and be your own therapist
Did you grow up wanting to fit in?
Did you have any desire to be the cool kid?

Growing up I always wanted to be cool
I thought my value was relative to how many friends I have
No idea it was about the friends I chose to be close w
This wasn’t just high school
It carried on even to my move Florida (2022)
Always looking for the next late night out
Going out and drinking every night isn’t impressive

Go invest in future you

Today I am inducting Nikita, The Wicked into the SEBIV POT.
A bit of a different vibe from my usual chill
The variety in his vibe allows for constant flow
Throw him on shuffle you will not be disappointed
In investment news I bought my 14th Gengar Die Cut
Hoping for the worlds first 10 w this one

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
In a word full of façades, be yourself
Aren’t you tired of changing who YOU are to please other people?

The other day I was told to change my personality
No joke
What the fuck does that even mean
Submission is not my strong suit
I’m not for everyone
If you can’t handle my attitude- it’s not a reflection of me, but a reflection of you

This weekend I made complete design changes
Instead of a scrolling form style fill out I changed it to cards that pop up ready for users to fill out
I spent 7 hours stuck on a bug that made it so users can’t fill in information during signup
I still can’t fix it
Happy Memorial Day

This was the great solar eclipse of 2024 captured by @karborn and @shl0ms in the MOON:BEAM collection.

Comment “ART” to join the WE ARE 3 app early adopters list to discover great digital art beyond limits of chains⛓️

The artists bounced morse coded Pink Floyd’s “Eclipse” from The Dark Side of the Moon directly off the surface of the moon and back to Earth.

“Positioned directly beneath the path of totality, we captured both the eclipse itself and the Earth-Moon-Earth bounce audio”.

The collection is built on 7160-TL standard by @transient_labs allowing the collectors to collaborate with artists and modify the purchased tokens (eclipse phases) after the purchase: create the GIFs out of several purchased phases, or using the glitch effect, and more.
