Fastest lap for G2 Motorsports Park came in at 2:32.9. This was my first time out with the Miata after installing @supermiata Xida coilovers and overhauling the front with @karcepts swaybar & reinforcements. I wanted to focus the day on heel toe practice as I’m still fairly new to it and had not tried it out on track to this point. Being a 105 degree day, the attendance was low and it felt like I had the track to myself. This allowed me to work on a couple things. As the sessions progressed, I adjusted the dampers to see how stiff I wanted them. The @continental_tire ECF tire was nice and consistent in the heat! As for improvements to the driver mod there are many. This track day I finally drove the Miata with TC off and built confidence throughout the day. It’s a ways from 100% as my TC off fastest lap was still 2 seconds slower. This number should head in the other direction as I get more seat time with the car. Absolutely phenomenal car!! The G80 and the Miata are two polar opposites and that is why this is going to be so much fun! If you see me twitching or moving around it is because the Miata was not built for a taller person, the arm rest is in a bad spot for me when I try to change gears. #ndmiata #miata #mx5 #hpde #trackday

Gridlife 2026 Lime Rock Park.
Finally a weekend we didn’t have to work on car.
Now we can finally work on set up to make the car less likely to kill me.

Is just like racing with friends in Forza, except this happened in real life.

Headphone users beware! One of our most recent projects hit the dyno to get turned up on E85 with the help of @engineeredmotorsportsolutions. We stopped at 460hp, but there is a lot more room to grow with this @mountune_usa built long block and @garrettmotion G30-770! Stay tuned for a build-breakdown video here soon 😎

This is when I called it a day. Losing your brakes at bus stop is 💀💀 second lap going for a timed lap is when it happened. But sheeeesh car feels good. Engine feels good, trans shifts smooth, suspension feels dialed. The JRZs def like to run on stiffer compression/rebound settings. It's funny because my Tein REs from @ek_teddy ran best one click up from full soft. Guess it just depends on each individual shock and spring rate combination.
Next time, gotta adjust my seat position and replace broken bleeder valve on the spoons. 🫡
@brianm777 we'll get your hatch out there next time! Yeeeeeeee
