these community projects have always been about more than just creating a dance visual. they are a little way for me to give back to my dance community where we get to create spaces to connect and simply enjoy dancing together. ❤️

thank you girlies for showing up, learning everything in such a short amount of time, trusting the vision, and bringing your own energy and personality into it. you all made the magic happen.

Si hubo un detalle del que TODO el mundo habló en nuestra boda, fueron estos retratos de acuarela🥹

Cada uno sirvió como nametag y fue pintado a mano por la increíble @acuare_lau, acompañado de un mensaje personalizado para cada invitado.

Elegimos una imagen que representara un recuerdo especial con cada uno: una quedada, unas risas compartidas, un viaje, una celebración o un momento que significó algo para nosotros. Queríamos que, al llegar a su sitio, sintieran que no solo estaban invitados a nuestra boda, sino que también formaban parte de nuestra historia.

¿Llevó horas y horas de trabajo? Sí.

¿Fue un auténtico coñazo? También 😂

Pero viendo las caras de cada uno al descubrir su foto... puedo confirmar que valió totalmente la pena 🤍

In this last month I have:

* Worked with 2 new musical artists (both called me back)
* Directed my first full live show — musicians, dancers, visuals, casting, and production from start to finish @nextfestla @tone_edwards_ thank you for having us !
* Created 2 professional dance short films with completely different concepts, featuring 20+ dancers with @julioelements
* Completed 6 gigs with the company I work with
* Taught approx. 36 hours of dance classes
* Been Invited as a guest choreographer to provide feedback and mentorship at a mock audition thanks to @brittany7011 & @briizytalentagency
* Hired 11 artists for paid jobs across multiple entertainment projects
* Built a creative bridge between the U.S. and Venezuela by connecting choreographer @caroline.cullers with @hdhartcomplex for a 3rd place award-winning competitive piece
* Found my 1st sponsorship for customized clothes used on the show I directed. Thank you @wecustomllc you guys are amazing !!!!
* Said goodbye to my mom as she went back to Venezuela. I miss her everyday!
* Practiced gratefulness every day

🤍GOD IS A WOMAN🖤

this one felt really special ✨in honor of women’s month, we wrapped up another community/passion project this past weekend. the idea of this piece is not just to showcase heels dancing and to give back to my community, but to express the strength, softness, power, and duality that lives within all of us as women.

the black and white wasn’t just an aesthetic… it was a reminder that we can be both feminine and masculine, soft and strong, grounded and expressive; all at the same time ☯️

to my dancers: thank you for trusting me, for showing up fully, and for pouring your energy into this piece and my regular classes. props to my girls for being a part of this and putting this together in less than 10 hours of rehearsals 😬 also a special shoutout to @lonnisilver for assisting me this time around, i know i can always count on you 🥰

i’m so excited to keep building this community together! a space where we can all feel seen, supported, empowered and loved. see you all on the dance floor soon… 🫶🏼
