SOPHOMORE YEAR IS OVER!!! I want to thank everyone that I met, because all of you made this year special❤️ I wouldn’t be the person I am today without all of you. I am so glad we got to spend this school year at Lawson! Have a great summer! (Ps. If you’re not in here it’s because I didn’t have any more space sorry💔)

Dakash MLK, May I address the floor?

Capitol conference delegates, as my junior year youth in government conference comes to a close, I would like to say this conference once again reminds me the power we as youth have. There were so many bills that truly changed my perspective on how much power our Tennessee government has to foster change to make this state better.

From getting invited to make the very first summit bill to passing almost unanimously in gold senate and house for my personal bill, I was truly grateful for what this conference brings for me time and time again. Also, shoutout to my fellow delegates who did summit with me (@sammywammy023 @gabriel_little2027 @choe4secgen @reedhamptontn @violetbruce1_ @noh3myy_ @leiladodson7 ), y’all made the experience so much fun while I was fighting sleep half the time. Also, shoutout to the best press member, @shawwwwnnnnnyyyyyyy ,she took so many AMAZING pictures, so everyone go say thank you shawn in the comments right now.

Anyways, while I may not have won my candidacy for Blue Lieutenant Governor, I have so much trust in what my fellow candidates, Taylor Love (@love4ltgov )and Daniel Choe (@choe4secgen ), will bring to the table, and I know they will do great things for the blue Senate chamber.

Next, I congratulate all my fellow candidates whether they won or not, because I truly had so much fun meeting everyone, and talking to you all. I’m so proud of all of my fellow candidates for the campaign that they had put out knowing that they worked so immensely hard for it just like I did, so congratulations whether you won or not because, either way you deserve to be proud of yourself. You all hosted amazing campaigns and I’m so immensely proud of all of you guys for that.

Once again delegates, I am truly grateful for all of the support that I have gained from this conference, all of the new friends that we made along the way, and most of all the change that we brought.
I hope to see you all next school year whether it’s at MUN C or YIG, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for my senior year.

Thank you and I yield remainder of my time to the honorable chairs.
