Exploring the convergence of photography with representational painting, artist Robert Mielenhausen’s “Bike Works” series explores the bicycle as a sculpture form in a two-dimensional space. His mixed media pieces convey stories as to the function and purpose of these well-worn icons of strength, and yet, their impermanence as well.
Robert speaks about his work and process in this video, “A Life of Art” by filmmaker Peter Scheer (video link in bio). https://youtu.be/nI9KCFdJKy0
