Such beauty, love, and magic in collaboration for the Women’s Dance Temple in August. Thank you Karen Smith for your sisterhood, joy, and craft through music. Eli Martin for your witchy altar and gorgeous transmissions through song. Ambrosia Fay and Kai Iversen for your loving support. Aura Cleveland for your sweet presence and gifted photography & videography. Temple keeper Reva Tunnell for the sacred space and dancing with us all night! And a bow for all of the women in their dance with life, shared in this community. It is a treasure to learn and rise together 💝

Our next Women's Dance Temple 9.19 is Saturday, September 19th! With temple sister DJ shUShu | Katie Scott curating the field through music and a twerk medicine: liberating our hips into fuller expression. Medicine woman Brooke River blessing us with sacred plant allies and empowerment. And my offering of Shamanic Sound Healing, for gentle integration.

*Updates*
• We have shared childcare coming into the dining hall underneath the Temple, with hopes that more mothers can receive, collaborate for mutual support, and so their kiddos can be well cared for. Please contact Brandi Lea Harris to learn more.
• We plan to have a winter pause from December-March, so be sure to make it in September, October or November.
• In November we have two special additions: A Friendsgiving potluck beforehand. After, an overnight Dream Weaving Journey of Tea Meditation & Live Sound Healing. A sleepover in the temple is the first of its kind! Be sure to register ahead for this one.

Join the movement SHE Moves Me this fall. See you soon ♥️

Soul remembrance through every cell. Ancestral healing woven among the field. Vibrant magic.
Sovereign visions guiding. Fulfillment of light. The essence of sisterhood. These are a few touches which express the divine grace, sincere beauty and pure potential which arises, in the Women’s Dance Temple 🌹

It is an honor of a lifetime to help steward this temple for the Divine Mother, which Reva has blessed the community with 🤍 I give a heart-swelling thank you to every woman who shares her presence. For the recent volunteers Aurora and Karen for lending hands with joy. Medicine Woman Kerry for creating such a magical altar, sharing delicious cacao and your deeply loving presence- you are a gift 💎 And DJ Clay Papa for your immeasurable heart, passionate truth, playfulness, and skill through music curation for full embodiment. What an empowerment! ❤️‍🔥

The last 7 weeks has been such a celebration of life: Washington State, North Carolina, South Carolina and New Mexico. Gabor Mate. Date nite. Family dinner night. Gypsy Trip 2026! Bestie slumber party! My 57th birthday! A bonfire, Double rainbows, the ocean, a lake, rivers, waterfalls, creeks, hot springs, mountains, national parks, hiking, wandering, and dancing under the moonlight. Reconnections, hugs, so many blessings, endless laughter and love.... memories upon memories ~ a few of which I'm sharing here. I am bursting with gratitude!!! ✨🥰✨ Sometimes I marvel at how I got here .... and then I remember I am a culmination of every version of me that ever was.

I hope all the past versions of me know it was all worth it.

Friday, May 15th
Evening Dance Wave 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm | Warmup 7pm | Opening Circle 7:30pm
Guest DJ Karen Funshine | Facilitator Ted Riskin

Intention: Embrace You-Ness

“You-Ness” is the essence of you, a completely unique blend of your genetic & astrological blueprint, your life experiences, your spirit, talents, & desires. Within you lives a full spectrum of personalities, from the wounded child to the wise sage, from the artist to the scientist and so many varied expressions in between. This dance is an invitation to step fully into that multi-dimensional being and welcome all parts of yourself, raw, real, and FREE. Drop the mask of your "usual self" and allow what’s been hidden or suppressed to breathe, move, be seen and felt, whether it be the elegant or the profane, the tender or the fierce, the serious or the sensual, the timid or the wild one. There is no bad or wrong part of you. It's all perfect, whole & complete. Together, we celebrate radical self-acceptance rather than comparison and rediscover the freedom of being wholly, unapologetically you. In the words of the great Dr. Seuss, "Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You". So, let's dive in and get curious about which parts of us show up when we invite them into our dance with loving, open arms, minds, & hearts.

About the DJ
Karen Funshine (Karen Smith) has been dancing since age 3, with movement as her lifelong ally. A veteran raver & EDM enthusiast, she was delighted to discover 5Rhythms and ecstatic dance 10 years ago in Austin - a sober and judgment-free space to get wild & free. She’s since facilitated many women’s conscious dance circles and a vibrant live-instrument dance - weaving music and somatic movement to alchemize emotion, open the heart, and awaken joy. Recently relocated to Asheville, Karen is honored to share her passion and playfulness with her beautiful new community through the universal language of music and dance.

Intention: Envision

What you can dare to dream, you can begin to live. The images you hold in your mind and body are not fantasy - they are blueprints, quietly shaping your choices, your energy, and the way you move through the world. When you slow down enough to truly envision what you desire and let yourself feel it as if it’s already unfolding, you start aligning your actions with that reality. We are constantly creating through our attention and intention. So the question becomes: what future are you dreaming into existence? Let's dance that vision to life.

I am grateful for TODAY. I am a breast cancer survivor, cancer free for 14 years.

14 years ago on 2/13/13 I underwent a 6+ hour surgery to remove the cancer tumors from my body + lymph nodes to ensure it had not gotten into my lymphatic system. And then second team of surgeons came in to do the diep flap reconstruction surgery. It was a pivotal moment in time.

Although I told almost no one at the time, I went thru 8 months of chemo before the tumors were removed... which means for that year, I had no idea if the cancer had spread. I didn't know UNTIL I WOKE UP on 2/14 if I would be cancer free or if the fight continued.

While that was a really difficult time in life, what I recall is my tribe of friends (a few of which are tagged here) who consistently showed up for me. Every day... in many ways. The kind of comfort and kindness they provided allows me to look back on that journey and almost forget how hard it was.

My journey with cancer was midpoint in a YEARS LONG Dark Night of the Soul. I can look back now and see the immense pain and betrayals ... and also the slow but powerful exponential growth and know that I'd not change a single moment of it.

Last nite My Love and I celebrated Friday the 13th (goth girl at heart for-evah !!!) and LIFE feeling so much gratitude. And proving every day, I am tenacious AF 🔥✨🔥

Enjoy today and every day, my friends. Happy Love Day.
