✨ 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐩 ✨

💸 Thank you to Julie Baird for educating us on all the ins and outs of the 1031 exchange and really diving into the details of what’s important to know about.

👉🏼 If you have any additional questions for Julie, make sure to contact her at juliebaird@firstam.com

🌟 Favorite takeaway:
Advantages of a Reverse Exchange:
- Close on purchase without contingency
- avoid worrying about 45-day ID

📣 Mark your calendars for our next event where we'll learn about using private/hard money loans on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at the same place @oasisbrewingco and same time (6pm). Also, lookout for a networking event on June 3, 2022 at @biggerpockets office - spots will be limited so make sure to sign up when the time comes!

🌟 Member Spotlight 🌟
Karen Stosik, Marketing Director of RMWI @karentekla

✨ Karen is a Canadian from Montreal and recently moved to Denver last July since her husband was living and working here.

✨ In the meantime, she was introduced to Stacey Stegenga @ssteg3904, our Event Director, through her husband that was working with her at the same hospital. They started talking and quickly found out that they were both aligned on wanting to be financially free. Stacey invited her to come to the RMWI Meetups. After attending a few and learning so much, she saw that she could add some value to the team with her marketing background by helping them optimize their Instagram account. She wanted more people to know about and join this amazing community. She joined in January and we’ve had almost 300 of you new members since then!!

✨ Her initial interest in real estate started in 2020 when she was working on the marketing team for an interior design software company. Having already this interest paired with going to these Meetups, she learned about BiggerPockets and started listening to a lot of their podcasts. She just attended the Rookie Bootcamp Weekend this past weekend and was blown away by all the amazing speakers and knowledge she gained. Not to mention, the incredible community of like-minded people that are so pumped to be/become real estate investors. She is very inspired to become one very soon as well.
