What a day yesterday! First off, congratulations to the boys soccer team of THIS upcoming season for beating their alumni team in a 7-4 matchup that I felt like was the longest EVER. And also an even better congratulations to @kari_kurko and her soccer alumni team for beating the girls soccer team for this upcoming season 2-0 in the last moments of the game. Unfortunately I had to end the main broadcast early due to my phone nearly dying in the heat. But this was probably the greatest season starter I think I ever had! Don’t forget to tune in on July 29th when the girls soccer team starts my metro athletic conference journey at Stow-Munroe Falls HS! Thanks for helping us start a brand new year in style, and Go Blue Devils!

‼️REGIONALS RECAP‼️ Our UAkron🦘 ChemE Car team took two cars to the regional competition at Purdue University. The first car the Dr. Jie Zhang Memorial Car, is a pressure car with a propulsion reaction of citric acid and potassium bicarbonate. The stopping reaction is an iodine clock reaction. After some quick adjustments this car landed .4 meters from the goal and landed the first place spot in the region🏆 The second car The A-Train, is a lead-acid battery powered car with an iodine clock reaction for stopping.🚄💨 This car had some troubles in the first run, but with some quick thinking we were able to take the 8th place spot on the second go!! Amazing job to all our members!! Stay tuned for the national competitions in November.
