March 8th — the final of Miss Dutch Caribbean 🤍✨

I’m still trying to find the right words for this journey… because “special” doesn’t even begin to describe it 💫 What started as a competition turned into something so much deeper. I didn’t just meet amazing girls — I found a family 🤍 A bond filled with love, strength, and support that I will carry with me forever.

There were moments of doubt, moments of falling… but every single time, we lifted each other back up 🙏🏽 And that’s what made this experience so powerful. Together, we created something beautiful on that stage — something real ✨

My heart is so full of gratitude 🤍 Thank you Alexandra, Aljo, and Juni for believing in me, for giving me this opportunity, and for standing by us every step of the way. Thank you for pushing us to grow, to shine, and to become more than we thought we could be.

Placing in the Top 6 means so much to me 🏆 not just because of the result, but because of everything it represents — the growth, the memories, the love.

To the winners and runner-ups… I am so proud of you 👑 You truly deserve it 🤍

This isn’t an ending, it’s a memory I will cherish for a lifetime.

Thank you 🤍 @alexandra.atalita @aldjoroco_official #missdutchcaribbean #sisterhood #beautywithpurpose #memoriesforlife #pageantjourney

🌞🌺 Queens of the Sun 🌺🌞

Dutch Caribbean queens from the Miss category also shined on stage last Sunday for Women’s Day, wearing handmade jewelry by V for Venusian. Each piece was specially crafted with AB crystal beads to sparkle under the lights and beautifully complement the vibrant colors of their outfits. ✨

Very much “chalant” about life and grateful to be doing 1001 things at once 💫

Between sponsor nights with @loveandcarebyjsm for Miss Dutch Caribbean (slide 1/9, thank you! 🙏🏽), attending and representing us at events and places like the Dutch Supreme Court (slide 2—more on this later), late-night researching, and advocacy work examining systems like galamsey and fashion waste in Ghana, I wouldn’t spend my days any other way.

I wrote about the mining/fashion waste connection on my Substack Aseda if you want the full breakdown. Link in bio.

Research, volunteering, travel, modeling, advocacy. Every part feeds into why I’m competing: evidence-based advocacy for children’s rights on scale.

21 days until the finale. Vote via the link in my bio.
