I am a BLACK WOMAN. I am proud of my culture and community. I humbly and proudly stand on the strong shoulders of my egun/ancestors knowing that as a future ancestor it is my duty to pave the way for the future generations. We are BLACK WOMEN!..... We build .... We don’t tear down other BLACK WOMEN .... We have felt the pain of being torn down and we have decided we will be deliberate about building others! All too often, we WOMEN find it easier to criticize each other, instead of building each other up. With all the negativity going around let’s do something positive!!

Today’s workout was in memory of #georgefloyd and #breonataylor (2.7 miles for what should have been her 27th birthday) a lot of mileage, a lot of sweat and tears. By far the most emotional workout I’ve done but even in doing so it was a privilege. ✊🏽🙏🏽
——————————————————————————— ...we don’t tear down other black KINGS AND QUEENS🖤❤️ for far too many years we have felt the pain of not being seen for our beautiful skin, hair and qualities; instead we are looked down upon. BUT right now in this moment we will acknowledge each other! We will uplift each other today! We can see the portrayal of black women in the media, in athletics and in our communities and what affect is has has on our black girls. The fighting, the screaming, the judging has run its course. Since having baby Nova it’s been HARD to really take time for myself. This past week I took time off from working out and gave my body a rest. I went to a salon, got my eyebrows done, and shared cookies with my boyfriend❤️. I finished off my week of renewal with a girls-spa-day 💁🏽‍♀️(7am early AF). ———————————————————————————
This spa was one we particularly wanted to try because a co-worker swore it was life changing. @aplace2float uses 1,000 lbs of epson salt in water to make you float. Using this much epson salt at once you can expect your float to relieve any inflammation or pain as well as being a mood stabilizer by regulating electrolytes in your body,muscles, nerves and enzymes. ——————————————————-————————
The facility was gorgeous! You walk in and instantly feel the calming aroma. We (me and my friends ) went through orientation when they explain everything we might need. You had the option of a pod or a pool. I personally went with the pool. Once you rinse off in the shower (in the same room), you have 60 minutes to float and escape the world. ———————————————————————————
You literally cant sink. I dosed off a couple times if I’m being honest🤷🏽‍♀️. Apparently you’re not suppose to leave the blue pool light on but I did (since I’m scared of the dark lol). The rooms were VERY humid at a temperature of 90+degrees. I had to use my inhaler during the orientation 🤓😂😅

Overall I can say floating was a great experience and I urge everyone to try it. My body honestly felt renewed after. @aplace2float is currently offering $45 for your first float so check them out and book your session because they fill up FAST💨

Got a chance to try out my new band set by doing a partner workout.
1. Bicep curl and Overhead press 1x20, 2x15,1x10
2. Resistance abduction 3x10 ea leg
3. Resistance sprinting (black band around hip, red band above knees) 8x25m
4. Lateral squat walks + 5 squat jumps 3x ea leg
