What a beauty from our wedding night in Lago di Como 17 years ago now...Grazie to the incredible and timeless talent of @manuelamasciadri ! Italia is where it all began for me. It’s the country where I discovered my love for travel as a teenager. It’s the country where my love for Karine has blossomed over and over. It’s the country where I come back now to feel at home. And it’s the country I will die in one day.

Thank you to Manuela and @lvtoffolon , two people that were not only witness to our special day in 2009, but who are also close friends that have been near to our hearts over the last 17 years. We may be far apart physically (for now!), but our spirits have been together and will continue to be so. We look forward to one day sharing the Italian dream with you!

That’s a wrap on Italia this time! Wow 2027 will mark 20 years that Karine and I will be together! We won’t be traveling at all next year 😆. Arivederci Italia alla prossima...💚🤍❤️

Hi, my name is Melissa Bloomfield, founder of Buds & Brushes JA — an art, music, and wellness initiative that has spent the past 6 years giving back to communities and charities across Jamaica. Through our gatherings, we’ve raised support for homes, schools, and wellness spaces, always with one mission in mind: to use creativity and community to uplift others.

Today, that mission feels more personal than ever.

Our beautiful island of Jamaica has just been hit by one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in our history. The destruction is heartbreaking — homes washed away, families displaced, communities cut off, and lives forever changed.

Buds & Brushes has always been about giving back, but this time, we’re pausing our celebrations to focus entirely on rebuilding hope. This GoFundMe is a direct call for help — not for an event, but for our people.

Funds raised will go toward providing relief to families in need — food, water, shelter, and essential supplies — as well as helping communities begin the long road to recovery.

Every dollar, every share, every gesture of love matters. 🇯🇲
If you can’t give financially, we’re also collecting essential items like:
• Flashlights, batteries, tarps
• Bottled water
• Non-perishable food
• Toiletries & hygiene products
• Baby items (diapers, wipes, formula)
• Clothing, shoes, bedding, and towels

Jamaica has always been known for its strength, resilience, and heart. I know that together, we can rise again.

Thank you for standing with us, for caring, and for believing in the power of community.
With love,
Melissa Bloomfield 💚💛🖤

As we immerse ourselves in the work, inching ever closer to a tentative launching date, we pause to marvel at how far we’ve journeyed—only to glimpse, in the same breath, the boundless road that still lies ahead. It is an unending endeavour, a ceaseless pursuit that demands not just effort, but a fiery passion and an unyielding vision. Only through these, and countless other virtues, financial and otherwise, can such an ambitious dream be brought to life.
