It took this to get here

Revisiting core memories of the past to better understand the present and amplify the future.

I’m beyond words and incredibly humbled and grateful to everyone who joined the Team and me at ‘Homecourt’ last Friday. What started as a pencil sketch became reality, and it’s an experience I’ll carry with me forever. None of this would have been possible without every incredible individual who shared their time and talents to bring this vision to life as one team — The Avengers.

To my brothers @austinneely and @mitchjames , thank you for the endless hours, sacrifices, and unwavering belief in me and in us @movingparts.us. Every idea, late-night conversation, and detail made this experience feel like a perfectly orchestrated symphony.

To @zanah_marie and the @s27group Team, thank you for bringing every detail to life. One of my favorite moments was recreating my late grandmother’s Sari-Sari (bodega) store. I truly felt her smiling down on us that evening.

To @oogie4life and the entire @svrnshop Team, thank you for trusting us and celebrating this release with our community. We’ve come a long way since the DTS days.

To the Jordan Brand Chicago Team, @mickeymonday , @badchurchboy , @corbin_t , @karinthedesigner , @ladykream , and the entire Jordan Brand Team, thank you for believing in this dream and helping bring that “Chicago kids to the world!” spirit full circle.

To @jasonmayden , @jacob_brosky , @joemurrayaboutit , and the entire Jordan Brand Team, thank you for taking a chance on us nearly three years ago and helping us amplify our community through art, design, and stories inspired by the greatest player ever.

To our families, friends, the city, and everyone who supported us along this journey, thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing, showing up, and sharing this space with love and respect.

Maraming maraming salamat sa lahat sa suporta 🙏🏽🇵🇭✨

WHO WAS ABLE TO ATTEND @louisdeguzman “Air Dealer” Jordan Brand Event Lastnight? 💫✈️♻️

It was obviously powered by @svrnshop 🔋Who just had a sold out event lastnight. You were able to purchase select appereal from the collab. Homecourt opened their doors and allowed attendees to play 1 on 1 & Shoot Around while enjoying cocktails. Sounds were provided by @kingmarie 🎧

Derived from core memories of the past to have a better understanding of the present.

Creating this full cut & sewn men’s + women’s collection with Jordan Brand and their Artist Series has been a deeply personal act of reflection — a way of honoring my family and the sacrifices they have made nearly four decades ago to build a life in Chicago. At its core, the collection is about what we carry with us: the stories, objects, memories, and values that connect us to where we come from and to one another.

My Kuya (older brother) Christian, whom didn’t migrate to the U.S. until he was 11, was still living in the Philippines during those early years in the 90’s, and our relationship was built through letters, drawings, photographs, and the things my parents intentionally shared between us. They would often save up and buy two of everything—two t-shirts, two pairs of shoes, two of whatever we discovered—so that even from opposite sides of the world, we could grow up sharing the same interests, core values and experiences.

That spirit of sharing has continued to inspire and stay with me. This collection is a reflection of what my family taught me: to believe in yourself, to honor sacrifice, to share what you discover, and to never lose connection with your roots.

Through the lens of Jordan Brand, I’ve had the humbling opportunity to design and reinterpret those memories in order to transform them into something new yet familiar. These works are both a tribute to the people who paved the way for myself and others, and a reminder that where we come from can continue to shape where we’re going.

The handwritten “A I R” represents those times of our parents writing our names on our clothes and personal items. ✒️

The sketch “23” represents the connection of internal imagination and channelling those personal perspectives. ✏️

The reimagined “JUMPMAN” represents what is present and embodies the spirit of what it all took to get here. 🎨
