"Our wedding taught us that the most unforgettable celebrations aren't built around perfection. They're built around presence."

Just weeks before the wedding, Tasia and James were told that her mother—who was battling ovarian cancer—likely wouldn't make it to their April wedding. Rather than risking her missing the moment, they chose to elope with their parents first, ensuring she could witness their vows.

Against all odds, Tasia's mom fought to be there on their wedding day too, making the celebration even more meaningful. Tasia wore her dress in honor of her mother, their family tartan was woven throughout the paper goods, and every hug, toast, and quiet moment together became part of the memories they were creating.

Looking back, it wasn't about the celebration unfolding exactly as they had imagined. It was about being surrounded by the people they loved most and cherishing every moment they were able to share together.
