James 1:19 “Don’t forget, Jesus loves you and so do I”

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We moved our girl into her new dorm on Friday 💛
Do we miss her? ABSOLUTELY
Are we endlessly excited for this new season in her life!! Yes!

This is her time to go places and stretch farther than she ever has. She needed a larger space and new places to grow in. I look forward to the phone calls, texts messages and dare I say the uncomfortable silence waiting to hear from her. I pray the silence means she is doing it. Growing, standing, stretching and conquering life on her own. The moments we talked to Jesus about as we guided her in our home are being lived out. The whole point of raising her was for her to become independent of us. Of course I will miss her “whimsy” as she calls it, her spontaneity, her endless song lyrics in response to my questions, her daily joyful presence, her banter with Tanner, their sibling jokes, the laughter she creates and invites people into our home with. I will miss regularly being in the room where she leads people to Jesus through praising and worshiping Him.

What I’ve realized this time, moving the second child to college, is I’m not losing those moments. I’m gaining more. More of her unique nature that God created in her, in different forms. More opportunities to watch her become who she was created to be. More stories. More adventures. More moments and spaces I look forward to her one day inviting me into.
Of course it is still a big change~
Our hearts have been protecting them for 18 years. Our homes grew as they did. And suddenly, it is quieter. The nights feel longer. I’ve received texts/calls from friends praying for me. They are our village. We are blessed. One friend texted me prayers the weeks before taking Kyrsten to college 4 years ago. She was faithful to text her prayers then and she has been faithful to text as we moved Karlee.

Friends~if you’ve read this far 😂 ~ and if you are in this season with me, surround yourself with people in your life who pray for you, you pray for them, and they are there when you are in tears from the change and quieter evenings. They remind us our children belong to Jesus and He is taking them places we could never take them ourselves. 🤍
Here’s to Year 1 Karls! 💛🌼🩵

beach camp 26’ what an amazing week for the senior beach camp.

Jesus, you establish a table before me and my enemies, but even as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.””

east coweta high school, i love you; all 4 years has been something that i will never forget, and would not like to have it anywhere else.

moving here 4 years ago, from naples, florida was something that was truly scary for me, stepping into a new place, school but the Lord provided with the teachers, faculty, and the best friends i could ever ask for.
from the newnan rival games to each and every laugh we got to share was something i could never regret.

thank you Jesus for the giving me the best high school community, people, friends, family, and the amazing time, memories, and lessons i learned from east coweta high school.

i love you class of 2026. :) 🫶
