God Is Good. God is Faithful.

This year I got the most amazing opportunity, the honor to go on my first mission trip to Costa Rica. This experience will forever change my life. I got to see God‘s work in action. The team and I worked on restoring a church, helping spread the Gospel with local children and families, putting on children’s camps, and traveling across the region to aid in ministry opportunities. Even on my off time, I got the honor of helping the amazing Danny and Angie Romero around the Sanctuary that hosted these events. I was amazed with my friend Aaron, a local boy that has such a bright future. I got the honor of him coming to me to join in prayer. As well as meeting a group of high schoolers that reminded me of myself at that age, stick to the righteous path gentlemen.

I experienced many firsts in my life. From praying over the children and other adults, to being a prayer worker at the front during services. I was able to listen to, pray with, and help my fellow Christians through their individual struggles. When Pastor Danny prayed over me at the end of our time in Sarapiqui, I felt the presence of God. It was one of the most powerful moments of my life.

I witnessed the Holy Spirit move in such clarity. Not only did the Holy Spirit move in those around us, but in me as well. The experience is so surreal and powerful. Part of being a Christian is displaying an outward profession of faith: announcing to the world who you are and what you stand for. I can firmly speak on my future actions. I stand on the love and grace of Jesus Christ. I wish to serve Him the rest of my days, in whatever capacity He sees fit. I desire to be a servant of Christ. Praise and thank God for all the opportunities He has given me and the redemption He offers.

eight days.

our team set off for costa rica eight days ago y we had no idea what we would see and experience there. we were blessed to have such amazing hosts, the Romeros and Katie, la misionera, to guide our paths durante el viaje. we crossed paths with 300 niños at the six services we held and many of them now occupy a special place in my heart ♡

there are so many other things i could mention, but what God opened my eyes to in Costa Rica was the fact that ministry is not a one-way transaction; it’s a two-way street. as you pour out your love on others, likewise will they pour into you. although our primary purpose there was to serve others, we found ourselves being ministered to by such amazing people, young and old.

to the romeros and katie:
thank you for all the preparation and hard work you put in so that we could come be a part of your day-to-day ministry! tu fidelidad al Señor me ha inspirado y has changed the way that I look to my Father for help. every encounter i had planted seeds within my heart and mind that me siento como Dios continuará crecer en mí.

to my donors: thank you for all that you’ve given, financially and spiritually, so that i could find my way to costa rica! may God bless you thousandfold for the generosity that you have shown me :) if you’re interested in hearing more about the trip, message me and i can send you a link with more details about my journey!

costa rica has found a place within my heart y allí vivirá para siempre!

yo seguiré orar y pensar en todo lo que pasó y solo pido prayer sobre mi futuro, especially language interpretation and possible ministry opportunities. ¡que dios les bendiga!

¡pura vida!
