On Saturday I made my first visit to the @differentstrokesuk Jarrow group and was welcomed with open arms. It was so nice to be able to chat freely and meet such genuinely supportive people.

Today I then visited the Different Strokes team visiting Newcastle, again such a warm friendly group and I learnt so much from everyone there.

A huge thank you to everyone involved, especially @karlynfoster , Karen and Mark for making me feel so welcome in Jarra. Also to all the people who attended today, @a_stroke_of_good_fortune with the coolest glasses in the North East.

2 years ago, I did one of the craziest things I’ve ever done. I kicked off our Summit week by not only surprising my Dare 2 Dream Coaches with an appearance from @shaunt but I also sang the song “Shallow” with him (while being super pregnant and super nauseous— which is probably the only reason I convinced myself to do such a thing.. I’d lost my mind 🤣🤣). ⁣
⁣
But really, I had a big driving force. Years ago I read a stat that 99% of people believe they’re incapable of great things so I made it my mission THAT DAY to commit to not only NOT being part of that 99% but hopefully inspire others to DO great things too.. to believe they are CAPABLE! 🎯🎯
⁣
That takes guts, courage, boldness, and doing things you’d NEVER imagine you would do. ⁣
⁣
There were several other surprises that week like @karlynfoster surprising me live and in person flying in from the UK.✈️🤩 And my teammate @millanes17 winning 1st place in the Beachbody Classic🏆🏋🏻‍♀️! Both incredible humans that decided to GO FOR GREAT! ⁣

"I'm self motivated. I don't NEED an accountability group." 🤦🏻‍♀️

I get it. I'm internally motivated too. I don't need to check-in and I especially don't need someone checking up on me (just the thought makes me want to break out in hives). That's one major reason I wanted to own my own business as a coach.⁣🤷🏻‍♀️
⁣
But what I was failing to recognize, as I was going through life on an island🌴, was HOW INCREDIBLE and WHAT AN ASSET a supportive community can be. ⁣
⁣
Life WILL happen. And I'm telling you right now, it's way better to FIGHT thru the tough days with an entire world of supportive friends in your corner than alone. There's power in numbers. And these are some of my supportive friends. ⁣
⁣
And now, one of our fellow friends needs us. Karlyn had a stroke on Friday and still can't talk and is on a waiting list to get into an intensive rehab facility. She's alone in a UK hospital as she isn't allowed even a single visitor😭. But BECAUSE of this community (that I wasn't sure was necessary years ago), we are ALL sweating and praying and pushing for Karlyn til she makes our way back to us. 🙏🏻

She might be physically alone but SHE HAS US and WE'VE GOT HER.⁣

Yesterday one of our coaches on our team from the UK named Karyln suffered a stroke. She loves working out & loves Beachbody more than anyone else I know—her favorite event is our annual coach summit which we are having virtually this week. Today our team is dedicating all of our workouts to her! #sweatforkarlyn

Because of COVID, she is all alone in the hospital. Her husband cannot be with her. Can you please join me in praying for her healing and recovery?

Yesterday I got word that my fellow Dare 2 Dream Coach and incredible friend Karlyn from the UK had a stroke.
Crap. Crap crap crap.
NOOOOOOOO! No! No! No! No!
Was I reading that right? KARLYN?!?!😭😭⁣
⁣
Not only is she unable to talk YET and half of her body is paralyzed as of now, but she's in the hospital completely alone due to COVID.💔💔 ⁣
⁣
BUT let me tell you about Karlyn. ⁣
She's quirky and fun and thoughtful and giving and caring and clever. But she's also incredibly stubborn and a fighter. I KNOW she will be back in no time and I find myself checking my notifications ALL day long waiting for her message. ⁣
⁣
Right now we are having our yearly Coach Summit all virtually and Karlyn was literally the MOST excited about this event. She flew all the way from the UK the past 2 years (surprising me when I was 33 weeks pregnant last year after telling me she couldn't make it--she's sneaky too😆) to attend and this year, requested time off work and even made her own ribbons and lanyard to wear as if she were there live.

She might currently be missing Summit physically but KARLYN is with us. And we are fighting alongside her. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

FIGHT for Karlyn for me. ⁣
And Karlyn, we are sweating for you, too. But not for long, we need you.

“WONDER WOMAN IN TRAINING”.. that’s what my outfit reads. It was a gift from one of fellow Dare 2 Dream coaches and greatest friends from the UK @karlynfoster .🙏

When I put it on this morning, I had no idea how perfect it was going to be. The hubs is out of town so this is my first full run solo and I’m doing my best juggling all the things. But today, a painter showed up to finish our patio walk right when I was finishing up nursing Caden. ⁣🤦🏻‍♀️

Crap. Starts to get Caden up while he simultaneously spits up everywhere. ⁣

I answer, as I’m throwing Caden over my now clothed shoulder, only to realize the spit up is ONLY soaked into my crotch and looks EXACTLY like I’ve peed in my pants (which might not be too far off for a new mom. 🤣🤣).⁣

The poor guy looked so confused and might think twice before ringing the doorbell multiple times in the future 🤣. ⁣
⁣
So here I am— WONDER WOMAN IN TRAINING 🤷🏻‍♀️🦹🏻‍♀️.⁣
⁣
I don’t believe we ever “arrive”.. whether it be in business, fitness, relationships, or motherhood. There’s always room to grow so here’s to the journey.. and peeing in our pants when necessary 🤣. ⁣

We are the WERRRKERS!! When I started his health and wellness journey I thought I had to do it SOLO!
I thought I needed to hide what I was doing, work on myself alone and keep it all quiet for fear of failing!
These are my peeps, my fit family!
See I come from a place where I am BUSY! I hate saying that. I hate that word “Busy.”
But the truth is, at home fitness is the only thing that has worked for me. I do not have the time to go to the gym, nor would I even know what to do when I get there.
I love being given a plan and told to get to work. When I started this thing I just promised myself that this time would be different and I would not give up on myself.
I think it I didn’t have this tribe, and this group full of inspiring individuals, I may have given up.
We all have common interests and goals! We want to strive to be better then we were yesterday and to focus on self growth.
These fitness programs I do are my JAM. They work for me, they work for my tribe, and I just gotta share the love people!
Reach out to me if you connect with this at all. Maybe you haven’t found your community or don’t think there is one out there for you, but I’m telling you there is. We all belong here ❤️

This is Karlyn (the one with the 🎒). She told me she wasn’t able to make it this year and I was so heartbroken for her for DAYZZZZZZZ because I knew how badly she wanted to be there. 😢⁣

And there she WAS!⁣
Pretty cool to have met this girl online years before we were even open for business in the UK and now she’s become one of my coaches but also one of my most special friends! ❤️❤️❤️ ⁣

Everyone needs a "Karlyn" in their lives. 👈⁣

I just so happen to have one myself. ⁣
You see Karlyn found me on social media many years ago all the way from the U.K. We became fast online friends sharing in our Beachbody nerdy ways🤓 (even though, att that time, coaching wasn't even open in the U.K.). ⁣
⁣
This girl isn't just funny and perfectly quirky and super kind and full of personality but she is ONE OF A KIND. ⁣
She loves BIG. ⁣
I think that's the best way to describe her. ⁣
⁣
When we finally opened for business officially in the U.K., she joined as a Dare 2 Dream Coach on day 1! And this was when I got to finally hug her neck in real life when we both made the trek to London in late 2017 for the launch party. ⁣
⁣
But today is her birthday.🎈 ⁣
I just wanted to give her some extra love and appreciation.⁣ ⁣
She sends me jokes when she knows I'm down and out with morning sickness. She goes LIVE for me in the singalong version of The Greatest Showman when she was IN THE THEATER. She is my favorite kind of "Karlyn". ⁣
⁣
Some might thing "being a coach" is a scam.. or something you can't do... or something you're scared to do. But to me, being a coach gives me the opportunity to find more "Karlyns" to have in my corner. And I wouldn't trade that for the world. ❤️ If you haven't joined us, I don't know what you're waiting for! ⁣
