A new solo exhibition by upcoming E.A.T. participant Pamela Rosenkranz (@pamelaememrosenkranz) opens tonight at Karma International (@karmainternational) in Zürich, from 6 to 8 pm.

The artistic practice of Pamela Rosenkranz explores the phenomenon of perception and encompasses sculpture, video, installation and painting. Consistently drawing attention to its material, Rosenkranz poses questions about the role biochemical processes play in experiencing the world. Her solo show ‘House of Meme’ at Kunsthaus Bregenz in 2021 was centered around the often invisible factors that influence our understanding of art and our grasp on reality. Forging a connection to the viral spread of ‘memes’ online – which are continuously altered by users to transmit cultural codes – her works delve into the interplay between the digital and physical realms. Revealing adaptations and mutations in the everyday, Rosenkranz blurs the boundaries between nature and artifice.

Rosenkranz will speak during the upcoming E.A.T. X Kunsthalle Zürich (@kunsthallezurich) event on November 16. This event is part of AAA Experiments in AI, Art, and Architecture. AAA Experiments is an experimental exhibition developed in collaboration with students and faculty from ETH Zürich (@ethzurich), and organized by E.A.T. curator Daniel Baumann and curator at the ETH AI Center Adrian Notz. Using recycled building parts, ETH professor Catherine De Wolf (@catherinedewolf) and students will build a ‘pavilion’ inside Kunsthalle Zürich to serve as a space for public talks, seminars and exhibitions.

Curious to hear Pamela Rosenkranz speak? Entry is free with advance reservation due to limited seating. You can reserve a seat by clicking or scanning the QR code on our website. Click on the link in bio for more information.

The exhibition at Karma International will be on view until November 9.

Sharing @leyla.faye ‘s arresting “Lion’s Share” 2024 which - congratulations! - was acquired by @muzeumsusch Switzerland, after a solo show with @karmainternational.

Leyla declined to let me interview her after we met at @friezeofficial but I’m 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼that some day she will reconsider so I get to the heart of her story and share her brilliance with you.

Do you have the guts to put your head in the lion’s maw?? Most do not. She does. 💪🏾🦁🎨🖌️
