This past fall I had the opportunity to start the conversion process on this pre-existing shed. The goal being to convert it into a fully functional guest house for some family friends of mine.

This was the biggest project I’ve ever taken on and boy were there some learning curves and hoops to jump through. From studs that were completely knocked out of square from sitting too long- to my clients desire to make a window wall using salvaged vintage windows (which I severely underestimated in every regard).

I can’t lie… it kicked my ass. But now Im left with a whole lot more knowledge about myself, what I’m capable of and what I’m not.

The project is on pause for the time being but I’m looking forward to being able to pick up where we left off in the future.

Hopefully soon I’ll stop having nightmares about vintage double hung sash windows.

And a huge thanks to all my beautiful homies that lent a hand.
