I definitely have a love/hate relationship with this day, for the past 18 years of my life, I have been watching over this little built in best friend who is now a grown up paying his own bills, working full time and learning how to navigate his own life.. I am so proud of him but I can’t say it doesn’t sting, here I am now trying to navigate my life without living it through him.. he is my my most prized possession and will be forever grateful I’m his mom. Can’t end the day without saying how much I miss my mom and wish we could celebrate her!

Karsun..I’ve been dreading this day, it’s hard for me to comprehend you are turning 18. I have sat here and stared at this blank spot to write something, I have so many mixed emotions. First off I want you to know how proud of you I am. From day one I knew you were gonna be a fireball in every aspect.. so many questions, so many whys, how comes.. it was wild.. I was so sad when you told me you wanted to get your GED instead of going the last couple of years because that meant so many things. No more school functions, no more first/last day of school, no watching you walk down the aisle for graduation..but it has meant so much more to know how much happier you are..I’m so proud of you for the things you’ve accomplished with having a job you love. I just want you to remember to slow down sometimes and enjoy life.. because these past 18 have flown by for me.. I want you to know that you are my whole world and watching you grow up has been the best but most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever done. Because every memory, every lesson , every laugh was the first for both of us. Kars I hope you have the best day.. Happiest Birthday.. I love you so much 🥹🖤
