SINGING NECTAR

"I am dying, take me to the city where he dwells. Lay me in the dust which he carries his footprints and leave me with the dust under his feet, I am well."

"I feel my heart beat singing the old song again.

My eyes open on a new world again. My skin bathed in this holy dust is washed with an undreamt holiness and out of its pores flows the Ganga of singing nectar".

-Prof. Puran Singh

He is Guru Gobind Singh

He is Imperishable, Primal, Infinite, and Beautiful; He whom the King of Angels searches for.

His glory reigns within the seven heavens and the netherworlds.

The King of Kings, immovable in war like a great mountain, Sri Guru Gobind Singh is the Lord who gives peace.

He speaks from his holy mouth: "O Brothers, all of you meet and give me the Amrit.

Sheshnag, Indra, the Sun, the Moon, and Shiva search for Him to this very day.

The Siddhas, Sages, and those like Narad beg for millions of boons.

Kinnaras, Yakshas, Serpents, and Mountain-bearers serve Him night and day.

That Perfect Guru asks for Amrit, standing before the Khalsa with folded hands.

The Perfect Guru is like the Ocean of Milk, always filled with precious red jewels.

Millions of wish-fulfilling cows and Moons-who can count them? There is no count.

The spiritual powers and the four treasures of life reside in the royal dust of His feet.

That Perfect Guru is asking for Amrit; the Saints witnessed this wonder in their minds.

Lakhs of Gods and Shastras serve Him with utmost reverence; lakhs of Vedas and Heavens are under His command. Lakhs of gods and angels praise the splendor of His palace; Lakhs of gods like Shiv and Brahma are wishing to be near His throne for protection. Lakhs of skies and lands are His slaves; Lakhs of Suns and Moons get theirs robes from Him to cover themselves (when they set). Lakhs of thrones carry the stamp of His name.

Lakhs of kings and gods like Ram and Krishna kiss the dust of His feet. Lakhs of honored and fortunate ones areglorifying Him and Lakhs of honored ones in the court of God are His obedient servants.

Lakhsof Indra gods and Lakhs of Shesh Naag with thousand tongues are engaged in describing Him; Lakhs of Gods like Shiv and Brahma are searching ways to reach Him. Lakhs of Goddesses areengaged in His Service; Lakhs of Divine Powers have accepted and worship Him as their Master.

30th March 2025 dad Wg Cdr Subhash Chander Jyotipunj(IISc,28DEO IAF) passed away and after few weeks and mths ,as we were coping with the sudden loss, we stumbled upon something that gave us smiles!! my sister Jyotsna Punj discovered these notes written by our dad💕💕…he never kept a daily diary and so this “notes to self” were enlightening to all of us. He belonged to a family of Sialkot where the eldest son was on his way to London for education so they were doing well and then partition changed everything!!
As a 4 yr old he and his family left it all.He was always bright coming first and doing well.
He used to read a lot and always did crosswords and later Sudoku.
Do enjoy the note.🙏🏻🙏🏻💕💕
