FIRST DEKA FIT MANILA. 🏋️‍♂️🔥

My first-ever Spartan DEKA FIT, and definitely one for the books.

Going into this, I knew strength wasn’t going to be my biggest problem. After the race, I realized exactly what I need to work on — my engine and endurance. 🫠

The cold venue was another challenge. With the low temperature, multiple fans, and aircon exhaust along the running area, it was honestly hard for me to break a sweat and catch my breath after every few runs. It made the running portions even more challenging than I expected.

But all in all, I enjoyed every bit of it. It was a very humbling experience, especially knowing I’ve only been training for around 3 months.

And what made the experience even more special was having my Hybrid Athletes PH community there — shouting, cheering, and pushing me and our fellow community athletes through every station. That kind of support hits different. ❤️‍🔥

Huge thanks as well to B’lue, the official hydrating partner of Hybrid Athletes PH, for keeping us hydrated throughout the experience. 💧

This race showed me exactly where I’m lacking.

Now, recover.
Back to training.
Build the engine.
Come back stronger.

We race together. We win together. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼🔥
